It is very sad news. But nice that the king came to visit the building just a few hours after it happened to support the rescue team.

Indeed, that kind of support is always good to see..

Today two trains collided in Belgium, a lot of dead is expected.... our King Albert is going there this afternoon...

My son takes this train everyday, he always sit in the first wagon which unfortulately crashed but to day he was home because his daughter is on holiday for the whole week.
I am so sad thinking to people taking this train in the early morning for their work.
Our King is going there this afternoon but they are so many families in deep sorrow.
May God blessed them

God loves you Maria-Olivia, He took care of you and your son....it must be terrible for him and your family.....May all the victims rest in peace.

:previous:
:ohmy:My first thought, when I saw these pictures, was: "The taller one of these Italian twins is the Queen of Belgium".:)
But after a second, closer look I see that the suit of the presidents wife is blue and the suit of Queen Paola is brown.

The picture [no. 3 ] of King Albert and the president is also a nice one I think.

Thanks for posting the pictures iceflower.

You are most welcome, paola :flowers:

What a nice and easygoing man he seems to me!:)

The dress is wrinkled too, sadly. I never had the impression that Paola actually likes her 'job'. I think she would prefer to be at home gardening or baby sitting her grand children. Can't blame her actually for that actually.

When she got married she thought she woul just be Princess of Liege not Queen of the Belgians....A big difference:ermm:

King Albert was expected to attend as well but did not because
of the political situation with Open Vld who quit the federal
government because of BHV.
