One of my favorites, Mathilde & Filip at a Unicef meeting with children in 2001. Mathilde was 8 months pregnant with Elisabeth.

This was princess Mathilde's first solo mission abroad, in 2002. She accompanied a group of young Belgians to the UN children's top in New York.

Kinga is really working the camera and quite a photogenic dog.
Speaking of animals, you have been quite a busy bee Hannelore, and thank you very much for that. The pictures are absolutely wonderful and a joy to watch. :)

CP Mathilde has real natural beauty. She doesn't have to pile on the makeup, unlike others, her natural beauty shines through. It's wonderful just seeing all her pictures and she and CP Phillippe look so good together as a couple

A good biography of Mathilde, from the royal archive.
On 4 December 1999 Prince Philippe married Mathilde d’Udekem d’Acoz, (born 20 January 1973), the daughter of Patrick d’Udekem d’Acoz and Polish born Countess Anne Komorowski who were married in 1971. She is the eldest of five siblings: Marie-Alix, born in 1974, who died in 1997 in a motor vehicle accident along with her maternal grandmother, Elisabeth, born in 1977, Hélène, born in1979, and Charles-Henri born in 1985.
Mathilde, who speaks Dutch, French, Italian and English, is a speech therapist having graduated in 1994. Thereafter she studied psychology. The physically active Mathilde met Prince Philippe at tennis match three years ago and they courted away from the media spotlight. The shy prince and the extroverted Mathilde make a striking couple.
She is extremely popular, compared in the media to Diana, Princess of Wales and Princess Grace of Monaco. Belgians are proud of having their first native born Crown Princess. At her wedding Mathilde wore a long sleeved coatdress closed by ten buttons and Queen Paola’s 19th century family heirloom veil which was fastened to the late Queen Astrid’s diadem. The beautifully crafted veil also had been worn by Queen Paola and Princess Astrid at their weddings. The wedding ceremony was observed by representatives of all the European royal houses. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess with live at the chateau de Laeken, just north of Brussels.

What wonderful photos, Catherine! Princess Mathilde is such a lovely person...inside and out! She has a tremendous amount of class...
Btw, who are her favourite designers? I read that she favors Natan and Armani...
