Prince Philippe attended the funeral of the victims of the gas expolsion in Ath. It was a very emotional service, and thed duke of Brabant was visibly touched (like all the other people whe were there)

With flags at half mast, Belgium held a national day of mourning on Wednesday as the funeral took place for seven victims of last week's gas explosion, the country's worst industrial accident in nearly 40 years. At least 18 people were killed and more than 120 injured after the explosion ripped through a leaky gas pipeline at a nearby industrial zone last Friday.

According to a poster at Royauté, prince Philippe and princess Mathilde have been spotted in Lourdes last week for the visit of the pope.

Prince Jean d'Orléans was there as well.

There aren't any pictures, as far as I know (it was a private visit).

I read on the website of the Belgian Royal Family that Crown Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde were going to the Olympic Games in Athens on August 25th, but I still haven't found any pictures. Has anyone of you seen pictures?

We were watching the horse jumping this afternoon, and when the Belgian horse was jumping we were talking about if Mathilde and Philippe were there! Too bad we didn't see them!
