Some pictures of her last visit to Africa: as unicef ambassador she presided a Belgian humanitarian mission to Niger in February 2004. Attention was given to water, education for girls and blind children, and the health and hygiene of children and women.

She also had meetings with the chefs of local tribes.

Princess Mathilde, a longtime champion for young people, was supporting the "School, My Right!" campaign for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Dressed in a burgundy jacket and dark trousers, the princess first attended a brief meeting with UNICEF general manager Christian Wiener and other luminaries. But it was the later appointment with lesser known faces – throngs of enthusiastic schoolchildren, to be exact – where the mum-of-two was clearly in her element.

The luminescent young princess couldn't stop smiling as she spent the morning chatting with youngsters, clutching her own contribution to the rainbow of balloons brightening the town square. The show of support was all in the name of UNICEF's latest charity project, which aims to encourage access to a quality education for all kids, especially for young girls

Has anyone else noticed the bracelet Mathilde wore, it's very special, I like it!

Does anyone know if it's a new bracelet or has she worn it before? I just thought if it's new could Philippe have bought it on his resent EM? Yes, I know no one can ever really know this, but I just thought of how the bracelet looks and where he went, or am I way off?
Anyway, I like the bracelet too.
