How exciting!!
I like the name Anabelle or Charlotte for a girl and Nicholas or Alexander for a boy
isn't it?

B)

I would like Nicholas & Alexander, too - or Christopher

and for a girl Charlotte, Isabelle/Isabella, Josephine

second names could be Marie, Alix, Helene - Boudin, Philippe, Albert

I stick by my choice of Marie-Alix for a girl. And if it's a girl, she will be a lovely playmate for Astrid's daughter Laeticia-Maria!

I love these latest pictures, but where's Gabriel? The cutest one is the one with Elisabeth holding her mom's purse. I think I see a purse-a-holic in the works! :P

Maybe that´s too exhausitng for little Gabriel...and Elisabeth wanted a little time with mommy and daddy without her crying baby-brother
If Elisabeth stays that beautiful ( which I believe) and mantains her love for fashion-accessoires (like mummy´s purse) I see her really as upcoming star of the royal beauty-circle (goodbye Charlotte, goodbye Madeleine and goodbye Zara) :woot:

I found a page with very very nice close ups of Mathilde, from February 2003. The phots are rather large, so I prefer to put a link to the page.

link: very beautiful photos of Mathilde

Thanks to Cathérine Bergeyck for this great link, I made the pictures smaller so that we could share them here.

8) With the way Mathilde's head is tilted, it vaguely reminds me of the late Princess Diana.

Elisabeth looks a lot like her dad...she's got some of her mom's features though. Like her hair? Hahhaa, no, seriously, she looks a lot like Phillipe. Maybe Gabriel will look like Mathilde.

Thank you Cathérine Bergeyck for these pictures, they are wonderful. I noticed how in many pictures of Phillippe and Mathilde they are often holding hands, even if it is hidden behind their backs. I think it's a very sweet gesture.

Belgian Royals Step Out for Charity Circus Show

20 OCTOBER 2003
Belgium's Crown Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde stepped out for some fun and games at the weekend, when an Italian circus troupe came to Brussels.

The royal couple attended a special performance staged to raise money for leukaemia patients and their families. The event was organised by the Michael Van Waeyenberge Fund, which is supported by the King Baudouin Foundation.

And it's not the first time Philippe and Mathilde have shown their support for the philanthropic organisation, which was set up in honour of King Baudouin. After the birth of their baby daughter Elizabeth, they asked well-wishers to make a donation to the fund instead of sending them gifts.

The King Baudouin Foundation was set up in 1976 to mark the 25th anniversary of the monarch's coronation. As the king didn't want to receive a gift, the government decided to establish the organisation as a "permanent memorial" to their head of state.

The Michael Van Waeyenberge Fund, meanwhile, was named after the student of the same name who died in 2001 after a two-year battle with leukaemia.
