Crown Prince Philippe attended the awarding ceremony of the Francqui Prize 2011 in Brussels, June 8, 2011.
The Francqui Prize is annually awarded to a Belgian researcher, successively in the field of the exact sciences,
the biological and medical sciences and social sciences.

Princess Mathilde visited the annual children's holiday camp of the "Vlaamse Liga tegen Kanker" (VLK)
in the holiday center ' De Ceder ' in Deinze today, June 30. This holiday camp is for children from 6 to
18 years who have cancer and who, because of their illness or treatment, can not go on holidays.

respite care, childcare and holidays for ill children and their families.

Princess Mathilde attended an event today as well and brought Princess Elisabeth with her!
Poor Elisabeth has an broken or injured leg, but she looked happy and full of energy nevertheless.


Princess Mathilde and Princess Elisabeth attending several sessions of chamber music course for young
musicians, organized annually by Musica Mundi, in Rixensart, July 19. This international course is open
to violinists, violists, bass, piano and clarinet aged 10 to 18.

I saw on another forum where Elisabeth was on crutches.. and what looked like a cast on her left leg.

public, Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde attended with the organizers and their guests the
official opening of the exhibition 'Sciences at the Palace'.
