Prinses Mathilde
Rondetafel over borstkanker, op het Paleis te Brussel.
Met dit initiatief wenst Prinses Mathilde de aandacht te vestigen op de ziekte borstkanker die spijtig genoeg vele vrouwen treft.
Voor deze collectieve audiëntie zijn enkele vrouwen uitgenodigd die met borstkanker geconfronteerd zijn, evenals hulporganisaties en medische experten in deze materie. De verschillende facetten rond borstkanker komen aan bod : de preventie, de behandeling zowel medisch als psycho-sociaal, de begeleiding, het leven na de behandeling... met in het bijzonder aandacht voor de psycho-oncologische noden.

By taking this initiative Princess Mathilde whishes to draw the atention to the disease breastcancer, that unfortunately hits a large number of women.

For this collective audience a number of women who have been confronted with breastcancer, medical aid organizations and medical experts in this branch have been invited. The different aspects surrouding breastcancer will be discussed: prevention, the treatment - both medically as psycho-socially-, the councelling, life after the treatment etc.

Special atention will go to the psycho-oncological needs (the psychological help for people with cancer)."
