I think it should be "The 20 most famous young royals"

How come Pierre is not in it? It just doesn't make sense!!:ermm:

Exactly!! Pierre should have been on this list, and I'm hoping that someone downloads the special to the internet so that I can watch it and hear the explinations (or if anyone knows if it's coming on in the UK? I've only heard about it in the US...)

Omg! It's because Gaia Repossi and Eugénie Niarchos are teaming up to launch a new jewlery collection!!! :)

IS It new though? I think they launched it........ in 2007, or maybe 2006?

Forbes.com just put out Forbes Top 20 young Royals and Charlotte and Andrea Casirgahi have made the list.

The 20 Hottest Young Royals - Forbes.com

For American viewers on the E! (channel thirty-six) at 9 p.m. this Friday June 6, 2008 they will be showing a presentation of the Forbes Top 20 Royalsyour local listings... :flowers:

I recall an article in Vogue or W magazine talking about the jewelry launch; it was a bracelet that was featured (not my taste, too large and ornate) - more haute couture than every day wear

I've seen photos of charlotte in the spanish magazine hola. she attended the 17th june a party about foundation motrice, with tatiana, eugenie, andrea, ernst and her mother in maxim's, paris.

Wow, I think Andrea looks great! (Although I loved the long hair on him and Pierre) Princess Caroline looks amazing, she does'nt seem to age at all!
Thanks for posting!:)

Thanks for posting the pics Grace! Caroline and Charlotte look stunning, so does Tatiana. Eugenie resembles a lot her paternal grandmother (Eugenie Livanos).

Great pictures Grace!:flowers:
Andrea resembles more and more his late father. He seems to have taken his shy nature after him, and so has Charlotte.
I recall having seen photos of Caroline attending a "Great Gatsby" theme party back in the '70s as well.

Thanks Grace!!!
Caroline and Charlotte look great, But I don't like Tatiana and Eugenie's outfits at all.

Yes she did back in 1973-1974, and I think it was also in Maxims. She was there with Cristina Onassis.

That is great - good to see him sticking by the charitable effort

It's nice to know that we know he's doing something with his life. The CP charity and NYU. Is anyone going to translate?

I'm srry for the delay; I'll try to translate the article as soon as possible.

He sounds so normal and nice in that article... I'm glad we finally learned sth about him, and he looks good in the pics!

Here is a detailed summary of the Italian article on Vanity Fair (I hope a summary is allowed by copyright rules):

Andrea Casiraghi met Mathieu Chatelin by chance, during a political science lesson at the American University of Paris; Mathieu says they were seated next to each other and Andrea helped him taking notes. They eventually became very good friends (he says Andrea often goes to visit him in Paris and they talk about soccer and politics and cook together) and Andrea got very involved with Mathieu's illness and the Motrice foundation.
The interviewer met Andrea before the dinner at Chez Maxim, dragged him to take the pictures that go with the article and then asked him a few questions.

In the interview ANdrea says he got interested in the issue mainly through his friendship with Mathieu, but as time went by and he learnt more and more about this disease, he got concerned also as a person and a potential future father (not that Tatiana is pregnant). He says he wants to became, one day, a good father, and that he is grateful to Mathieu who made him see a new side to life and to suffering; he takes Mathieu as an example on how to live and be active and loved despite life obstacles.

The interviewer asked him if he takes after his father in his spontaneous way of connecting with others; Andrea replied the question was too difficult to answer (maybe because he was so little when Stefano died) but that he learnt the value of social and charity efforts from his mother's example.

He said he was proud his whole family was at the dinner to support him (during his speech at the dinner he also particularly thanked Tatiana for her support), and that he wants to raise money through happy events because sick people need joy, not sadness and an "air of tragedy", but that he takes the foundation and its scientific efforts very seriously.

Andrea said using his popularity to help a cause he believes in is the only thing he can offer and that despite being very shy, and suffering from being always scrutinized and in the spotlight, he doesn't have a right to complain, when compared to the situation of many ill people who suffer every day. He said what he finds very difficult is not being allowed (by the public) to make any mistake; but he is learning to manage his situation and is doing his best not to let people down and to live up to expectations.

The interviwer asked if after studying Political Science in Paris and at NYU he'll continue being involved in charities and Andrea said he will surely continue and that his journey will probably evolve in accordance with the Principality traditions; he says he is careful, takes life step by step but hopes to achieve good results. He ends saying he loves Italy, that he considers it his country, and that he regrets he can't live here at the moment.

There is also a very small interview to Tatiana who basically says she is very proud of Andrea, that neither of them like being in the spotlight (she stressed the point that Andrea is very shy) but that they both believe in what they're doing to raise money and awareness and that they both love Mathieu.

Now I see... it was in 1974. There's also a picture from that event on your website, where she was wearing that wonderful red dress she also wore at Cannes film festival.

Aww, thanks so much Grace for the summary! When a person translates it, it comes out better than the online translater. The translater missed quite a bit of stuff, it seems. It's sad that Andrea feels that he can't make mistakes because he'll get victimised by the press which is sadly probably true. It's nice to know stuff about him though.

At last, some light on Andrea's thoughts and feelings...and he sounds actually honest about what he says. Let's hope that all the " less good " things we sometimes think and say about him are just gossip and that we may find in him a sensible, caring and wise young man after all... ( like the ugly duckling becoming a swan? );)

Pics 14.10.2008

Princess Caroline and Prince Ernst-August of Hanover with
Andrea Casiraghi out in Paris on October 14, 2008

** Pic 1 ** Pic 2 ** Pic 3 **

Boy, I was beginning to wonder where Caroline has been lately. Not many pictures of her anymore. I really thought maybe she dissapeared for awhile to have some work done.

I am begining to notice there aren't many pictures of her lately. Is she trying to keep low-key for the last few months.

By the way, Thanks for the photos of Caroline with her Ernst-August and her older son, Andreas when they went out in Paris, Iceflower.:) Did they go to the restaurant or party in Paris?

Hope to see more of Caroline soon! :)

they looked good. were they attending event or just having a dinner? anyone know?

well Sherylal 24 i know that she's been involved in the Prince Pierre's Foundation awards as well as P. Albert, and before that i think she was in Austria, but i'm not sure... For some reason Caroline seems to have retired from the world. Pitty!!

Maybe she is stepping back from her public functions b/c Charlene might be stepping in soon.....................

As to your discussion about Caroline, I would say it's not
a new development. Things have changed since Albert is
the governing Prince of Monaco, the duties have been
arranged and so Caroline can concentrate on her special
projects and enjoy her private life a bit more privately ;)
When Prince Rainier was still alive he often had one of his
daughters or his son as an escort, but all things change..
