I would love to see more of Stephanie's children...but they are the ones who were indeed raised as average children(that is... average according to very wealthy standards )

I have no idea if they'd be as poised as the Casiraghis are at official functions.

Exactly...I agree, but the three of them have grown up under such private lives. Pauline said in a recent interview for the YOG or one of the other big events recently she's done that she feels normal European girl, rather than a "daughter of a princess". Or something like that.

There's only one way to find out if they'll be poised as the Casiraghi's at events...watch them attend them. But I doubt given the way Steph/Daniel/Jean-Raymond have raised them that it would ever happen. Maybe when they are adults and PA/Charlene's kids are "in charge of things"....we'll have to wait and see.

Perhaps the different lifestyle and marriage choices of the Caroline and Stephanie have made significant difference in their children's preparedness for official functions. Caroline married a businessman, Stephano and was the first lady of her country. She and her family were present for most official functions. Stephanie married her bodyguard, Daniel and wisely chose privacy. Later, Caroline married a prince, Ernst. Stephanie joined the circus and married an acrobat, Adans. Both marriages and lifestyle choices undoubtedly influenced the lives of Stephanie's and Caroline's children. Caroline and Stephanie's spouses and families traveled in different circles. I've always admired Stephanie's choice to restrict publicity around her children. There are few if any publicity family photos and she rarely brings her children to official functions. I've never seen her children at the palace balcony waiving to the Monegasques. On the other hand, Princess Caroline's palace duties created a different atmosphere altogether. Her responsibilities required that she be front and center for the activities of the palace and for her country. It was natural that she brought her children with her to appropriate family functions. Both Stephanie and Caroline are good mothers and are very close to their children. Stephanie sought privacy and ensured that for her children. Caroline was forced into a public life due to her mother's tragic death. Her children seem more at ease and with being public persons in Monaco.

Prince Albert and Princess Caroline attended the opening exhibition of the New
National Museum of Monaco at the Villa Paloma, in Monaco, September 17,
2010. The exhibition, entitled La Carte d'Apres Nature, was curated by German
artist Thomas Demand.

I had to look twice when seeing the first pic of Caroline with her second
handbag Extraordinary but funny guest

That's what i call democracy... Culture to everyone!!! I wonder what the puppy must be " thinking " about all the photographers, the flashes and... Oh My God... paparazzies. That's what we can truly call a dog's life!!!

Taking a puppy to a museum, now that is risky business.

Does anyone remember Onyx, the enormous and magnificent German shepherd who was Caroline's constant escort in the early 80's after her divorce from Junot?

Onyx went EVERYWHERE with Caroline and was even photographed snarling at paparrazzi through the car window. He was like her boyfriend for awhile, I loved it!

Caroline looks wonderful, stylish and happy. She is Monaco's most precious asset, IMO.

I like to see Albert and Caro together again . She looks awesome and Albert looks so relaxed.
But bringing a doggy to exhibition, especially if it is official event? It is a bad idea and bad taste--IMO

I don't see why it was bad taste Lakshmi..it was a small dog that she kept in her arms the entire time...not some big slobbering thing that she allowed to run amuck and possibly destroy property.

The Princess is obviously an animal lover, as I am. I don't see what the harm was.

There are many animal lovers that don't actually bring their small dogs to the museums or exhibitions.
I thought that they wouldn't allow it..but wait, what can we say to a princess

I agree, I think she shouldn't take the dog to the museum.

Onyx was gorgeous

I can understand Lakshmi's point: it's an official act, some sobriety and formal behaviour should be required...

Well, if she is bringing the dog to the Museum, that means that domestic animals are allowed in this public place? Or is it because it's the cute little dog of Princess Caroline?

...Like Nat said...perhaps dogs are allowed or they dealt with it because it was Princess Caroline, and the agreement with the museum people that if the little dog stayed in her arms, she could bring it. Perhaps this is why we see one of the little dogs (and only one, not both of them) and not Romeo with her.

It wouldn't surprise me if Onyx was a gift from Junot...I remember seeing a photo of Caroline and Junot walking Onyx in a park in Paris soon after they were married.

But he moved back to Monaco with Caroline after the divorce, so I suppose the Princess retained "custody" of him.

He really was beautiful.
