Oh!!! Thanks Radker.

They are BOTH so pretty, and so chic. Magnificent. Princess Alexandra turns to be a very pretty girl.

The ladies look lovely: so fresh and elegant. :flowers: And what to say about Alexandra? She's showing us, for the first time, her regal, pricely side: a sweet young lady, a real princess. :princess3:

It's these sort of events in particular that are one of the big reasons I love Monaco. The girls did look great and it's always great to see the Sovereign Prince and his people in such a friendly and informal setting.

I love how blue suits Caroline!
And Alexandra is becoming an interesting young lady.
Very nice pics. Albert is great too.

Bones, I agree with you about Grimaldi family. They are so glamorous and so popular at the same time , we love them for this.

Princess Caroline wore the same dress on one of her holiday jaunts this year, not sure where, but it is on one of the previous posts under Summer vacation - she was wearing flats when on holiday - what a diffrence heels can make to wearing a dress:sun:

:writing:Truly this is one of my favorite activities to see as well as it appears to be so much fun! PA looks fabulous as a matter of fact, this outfit is one of the most favorites that PA wears. The colors are fab on PA. Truly elegante`!

:champagne:Alexandra did beautifully for it being her first presentation contratulations for a whuan-der-ful job!

:rose: Caroline looked fabulous as always although we didn't realize Caroline had worn the dress before on another occasion it looks superb on this wearing. You are right--something as simple as heels can really change the whole "look' of an outfit.

:thistle:Alexandria looked smashing completely beautiful outfit the colors were just divine for her and the hair looks superb the flowers really 'accented" Alexandria's dress quite nicely! Now that she's a bit older she can start to enjoy these outings a bit more!! :unicorn:

Meal at Pss Antoinette Garden is so nice tradition.:flowers: Glad that Caroline brought her daughter, Alexandra. The girl looks so cute in her dress; she seems to change quite a lot. Is it possible to ask that the royal forum makes somenew avatars of Alexandra based on these pics?
Looking at Albert and Caroline outfit, it seems that both PA and Caro have red ribbons. Caro at her waist and PA as a tie. I think it is connected to this event. Anyone know what that red ribbons mean? Albert outfit looks like kind of semi-traditional one...
The family picture would be perfect if we could see Steph with her youngest, Camille. :)

Prince Albert was also wearing a red sash. I guessed it was some traditional mark of rank -red sash for the Sovereign Prince, smaller red ribbon around the waist for the Hereditary Princess, but I could be wrong. Considering that the Monegasque are a minority in their own country, and always seem friendly about the horde of foreigners living amongst them, I always liked the special attention they get and having events like these to remember the unique people and culture that have made the culture and traditions of Monaco long before there was a Monte Carlo Casino or a media focus on the jet-set crowd. It's like every now & then the Princely family and the native people get together to remember that they are part of an exclusive little club, sharing a common bond and common history that remains inspite of all of the development and changes. It's great!

Just to let you know Princess Caroline also wore the the red belt when she was on holiday - it is part of the overall outfit that she wears with this particular dress:pawprint:

She should be wearing it, seeing as she is Heir Apparent.

I'm glad Monaco's traditions are thriving. Primary school children are learning the Monégasque language in school.
At certain events, PA shouts "Viva Munégu".

It's great to see Caroline, Alexandra and Albert together as a family at Princess Antoinette garden. Caroline looks lovely in her dress that she wore during her summer vacation and Alexandra looks grown up and cute in her pretty dress.:flowers:

Caroline looks amazing in this blue dress..simple and classy and Alexandra growing up really fast..nice to see them as a family having some fun.

I love Caroline's shoes(the ones she is wearing at the Russian Exibit) but they don't look very comfortable! My feet would have been killing me in them but they sure are nice looking shoes!!

Princess Caroline seems to be reconnecting with her "roots" and not only appearing more in the Principality but introducing little Alexandra as well.

I love it!

I like and admire Caroline and want very much for her to find happiness and fulfillment in her personal life. She is one of those rare Royal women who seems to wear her emotions on her sleeve. When she is happy she is radiant. And when she is not....well.

You notice immediately.

"Rebirth" of the Casino:

The Princely Family have a financial interest in the SBM (Société des Bains de Mer).
At its General Assembly yesterday, the SMB announced a complete "re-birth" of the famous, and almost mythical, 6000 square metre, 144-year-old Casino.

Work will start after the F1 Grand Prix in 2010, and it will take at least six months, hopefully reopening in December.
The Gaming Tables will be transferred to the Sporting d'Hiver.
In any case, SBM is already involved in online gaming across Europe.

Monaco.maville.com Casino : six mois de fermeture ?

Glistening Seas

:butterfly: oh my word the Monaco Casino is already perfection personified. it's impossible to imagine that anything can be done that would make it better especially to the already gorgeous facade and architecture.:globe:

I agree with you. I can't understand why they want to change it, but I'm sure that the SBM have sound business reasons for their proposed course of action.

I think they'll just do some restorations and repairs like they did with the Opera several years ago, we don't have to worry that they'll change the decor and stuff.

Glistening Seas

:books:ohhh, that is a relief!! it seems those fresco's on the ceilings and decorations if not priceless in monetary sense certainly are in the sentimental sense!! personally we think they should be considered priceless at least to Monaco!:rose:

I'm sure they are considered, in fact I remember reading somewhere here that in the late 60s or 70s there were plans to tear down or remodel the Hotel of Paris and Princess Grace seriously objected it, she said she would be at the site the moment they'd tear it down or something like that.

Monaco in general is a place that has known how combine the innovations and technology of modern constructions with those from it's past.

I think that was the Hotel Hermitage not the Hotel de Paris. I read she threatened to chain herself to the gate of the hotel.

Yeah that's right, as for the Hotel thanks for clarifying it :) Do you on what year did this took place?

I don't know the year. I think I read it in the James Spada biography.

The family went hunting on their estate of the castle of Marchais
on October 31, 2009. It's really hard to identify, but you can at
least see Prince Albert, Charlene Wittstock, Princess Alexandra
and Pierre Casiraghi:

** Pic 1 ** Pic 2 ** Pic 3 ** Pic 4 ** Pic 5 **

Interesting group. Albert - Charlene (the couple) Pierre - Alexandra (the younger kids of Caroline).
I hate hunting. It makes me sad when I see my favourite royals doing this :(
