:previous:if there was any lingering doubts that Prince Albert has the greatest job on earth, I think they should now be thoroughly dispelled. :D
Congratulations to the Italian ladies! :italyflag3:

PA's pleasure must have been somewhat diminished yesterday.

Yesterday, seven thiefs robbed a private Bank, the Crédit Foncier de Monaco.

The headlines: "L'Incroyable hold-up" - "La Principauté en état de siège" The Principality in a state of siege.... and so on.

Monaco was immediately shut down by the police and the Public Safety teams.

Seven persons of Latin American origin got away with 100000 euros, without violence.

Monaco.maville.com La Principauté en état de siège

The bank is Monaco's oldest, founded in 1922. It is the sponsor for the Ballets de Monte Carlo.

WOW --I thought survielliance of Monaco was top notch!!! The principality is described as one of the safest places. I wonder if they had lay offs in the safety sector?:ermm:

If you think about it, 100 000 euros is a comparatively paltry sum by Monaco standards, especially when it has to be shared between seven :)

Looking at the bank again, it has an HQ plus six branches in Monaco.
100 grand will barely register on their radar....

At the moment it's tennis that fascinates Albert ;) The Monte
Carlo Tennis Masters tournament takes place from April 10 to
18.

Prince Albert II of Monaco watches the semifinal match ---
The lady next to him is Cristiana Crociani, sister of Princess
Camilla of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duchess of Castro.

Mélanie de Lusignan attended as well.

I understand that it is not much money for MC's standards -- But! it happened! and seven people is alot of people to rob a bank and drive away!!!

Did Albert render the condolences about the death of Polish president in Russia?Anything known about it?

Don't know about that, but Monaco Centre de Presse reported today that PA's travel plans have been cancelled due to "le nuage volcanique"...

Seeing PA and Michel Roger together, it seems to me that the new Minister of State looks more dynamic and "with it" than his two predecessors.....

Samaranch, one of the longest-serving presidents of the IOC, passed away
from a cardiorespiratory arrest at a Barcelona hospital on April 21, 2010 at
the age of 89. Hundreds of people, including top athletes and politicians, paid
tribute to Samaranch as he lay in wait in Barcelona.

Prince Albert attended the opening of the new youth centre
"Ni Box" and tried out its bowling alley, Monaco, April 24,
2010. Albert was accompanied by the new State Minister of

order ;)

I love pic 3 - he's looking very athletic. Did Michel Roger also do some bowling?

Whether yes or no - he's already making an impact in the Principality.

I wonder can PA really bowl or photo op. I wish PA can make a impact in his love life.

Where was Charlene?

PA was there in an official capacity with the Minister of State.

They opened a new youth centre.

CW would not have attended such an official event.

This evening, in the Palais de Justice, the Superior committee of Magistrates is being installed.
PA will give a speech.

Later on, he will attend an event organised by his Foundation:
the first Euro-Mediterranean Forum on efficient energy, at the Fairmont.

Regarding Monegasque Law, I found the following link from "Monaco - AHJUCAF:
Monaco - AHJUCAF
This is a site about all the French-speaking Supreme Courts world-wide.
The abbreviation stands for:
Association des Hautes jurisdictions de cassation des pays ayant en partage l'usage du français - Phew!

The link is about a "Questionnaire sur l'indépendance de la justice Monaco" - a ver long document!

Thanks Iceflower:) I think we're missing the last shot that shows the result?:)
He looks like he knows how to bowl, I think he might even have it on Obama here?:D:flowers:

Maybe it's better that we do NOT know the result..:D;)

Today, May 10, 2010, Prince Albert as President of the CIESM attended
the 39th International Congress of Mediterranean Science Commission in
Venice, Italy.
The CIESM acts as a focus for the exchange of ideas, the communication
of scientific information and the development of scientific standards across
the Mediterreanean Sea and Black Sea. Held every three years the event
takes place between May 10th and 14th this year.

The lady pictured with him is Italian Environment Minister Stefania Prestigiacomo.

Albert seems agitated in presence of Italian minister.:p She is attractive.
On the other hand should should dress way better. She looks like she was going on the weekend not at conference at international level.

Since its re-opening on April 2nd, the Oceanographic Museum has been visited by more than 100,000 visitors!

Monaco.maville.com Musée océanographique : déjà 100 000 visiteurs !

And another article on PA meeting the Italian environment minister....
It seems that the Mediterranean is a barometer, in the sense that imminent major changes can be "read" in advance, e.g. proliferation of jellyfish, acidification of the seas etc.
By the way, the French have a lovely name for the Mediterranean - la Grande Bleue.

Don't worry, Mrs. Prestigiacomo is happily married and has one son. ;)
