So that we main a level of continuity, let's continue the discussion of Lizanne Kelly Levine's death here The Kelly Relatives . That' way it will be easier to follow the discussion.

Thanks!

Going back to the end of November, PA attended a dinner of the "Association Monaco-Italie" at the Hotel Hermitage, the final event of the A.M.I calendar for 2009.

The Association had invited a sister organisation, "Mare Vivo" which, like A.M.I., is concerned with the protection of the Mediterranean Sea and the creatures that live in it.

The event showcased a particular water plant, Posidonia oceanica, which is an endangered plant affected by pollution and the proliferation of algae. It serves as a barometer for the quality of the marine environment of the Mediterranean.

Among the guests was Signor Gaetano Scullino, the mayor of next-door Ventimiglia.

Prince Albert and the Antarctic Treaty
On Wednesday, PA took part in the Summit on the 50th anniversary of the Antarctic Treaty at the Smithsonian Institute, Washington D.C.

In his speech, he underligned the exemplary character of of the Treaty as an instrument of action for a particularly sensitive area, purely for the furtherance of science.

He also underligned the fundamental role played by the scientific community as a moral force for the planet, independent and respected.
Later on that day the Prince Albert II Foundation signed an accord with the Smithsonian on collaboration and knowledge exchange.

PA then went to the National Geographic Society for a work session to establish the groundwork for mutual cooperation between NGS and FPA. He concluded his visit by joining the US branch of his Foundation for a soire.

Thanks for the pics iceflower, they are great.
I see many members of the Family doing several and different things on the same day: Caroline at Nurse School, Charlotte competing in France, an Albert in a Stamp exhibithion.

You're welcome

Albert appeared on German television this week, he was a guest
at the talkshow "Beckmann" that was shown on November 30,
recorded a few days earlier I guess. An expert for climate impact
research and an eco-visionary were invited as well, but besides
that discussion, Albert had to answer a lot of private questions
as well, the usual ones about his parents and sisters..

About Grace he said "She was a fantastic mother. We saw her
films with her. For me, it was hard to see my mother beside me,
while seeing her on television as well " and about his sisters he
said : "My sisters and I are very, very close. These ties are
becoming stronger. "

When talking about the comming climate summit in Copenhagen
Albert said that he wasn't too optimistic that it would come to
concrete agreements, but still he hoped for substantive decisions,
which can then be implemented in the next decade.

Here are two pics from the show: ** Albert 1 ** Albert 2 **

Oh! I would like to go to that market!
And the photos for the celebration of the Princess Grace Irish Library are awesome. The hall in where they are makes them awesome. It's so elegant

The following link contains a video of the Christmas market
and Albert attending the first day. It shows how colourful
and full of lights the market is and how many different things
you can see, do - and buy

On Thursday, December 3, Albert attended a concert the association
Asmae has organized as a tribute to its founder, Sister Emmanuelle
(who died in October 2008) at the Grimaldi Forum. The concert included
classical music, blues, bossa nova, samba and gypsy music - a surely
nice and interesting mixture

Talking

The video of the festivities was terrific.

It was a great view into the celebrations that are so wonderfully enjoyed at this time of year! Of course, all the festivities that PA goes to always wind up being fun! We are so looking forward to seeing all the festivities in Monaco at this time of year.

Wow! Thanks for the video, I loved it. I will definitely one of these days spend christmas at Monaco!

ManyMargarets, I'm sorry, but those were the only pics I found at the funeral of Lizanne. Only Albert in the spot, cannot find pics in where he appears with Chris Levine or others.

Super pics of the new Embassy and of Albert of course!

On the Monegasque Government website the address is shown as:
22 Boulevard Suchet, 75016 Paris.

It's close to the Seine and the Muse Marmottan - Claude Monet.

PA at Copenhagen, at a meeting of the European Environment Agency where he spoke about the individual consumer's responsibility to change his/her consumption and life in general in order to fight the oceans' acidification and warming.
He also made an urgent appeal on behalf of island states and and those with vulnerable coastlines.

He also announced the launch "MONACO BLUE INITIATIVE", a collaboration between his FPA Foundation and the Monaco Oceanographic Museum, in its Centenary year, next March.

PA took part in a round table event about electric cars and the Principality's "zero emission" vehicles.
