It had to be for fun since it's two man and four man bobsleds not three. It's also men and woman competing they also don't have mixed teams that I have become aware. Monaco was competing. Plus in competition the brake man isn't the only one who pushes. He also officially retired from it. I hope that helps.

Are there more pics of the ralley or did i happen to miss them somewhere:sleeping::monacostandard::fireworks::TRFrules:

Prince Albert II of Monaco watches as two zoo employees carry the sedated
leopard Sirius, at Monaco zoo, Monday, Jan. 7, 2008. Two leopards, Pitou and
Sirius, brother and sister, both 16 years old, are to be transferred by plane from
Monaco to their new African home at the Shamwari Wildlife Reserve in the Eastern
Cape Province of South Africa, escorted by the founder of the Born Free Foundation,
actress and wildlife campaigner, Virginia McKenna. Originating from a French travelling
circus, the leopards have been resident for at the Monaco zoo for nine years.

I know this is responding to an event that happened earlier in the month but it seems to be quite a significant change in attitude from Prince Albert towards the controversial Monaco Zoo. Only last year, I heard Virginia McKenna interviewed on a breakfast programme in the UK where she was very outspoken about conditions. The fact that she is involved in this project suggests Albert may be adopting a different stance from his father. Also Albert is to be congratulated that he doesn't shun those who dare to criticise some aspects of Monaco in the media.:)

Apparently, you should be grateful to Charlene for this change. According to the newspaper it's only thanks to her and her love for wild animals that he changed his mind and policy. So now she's the hidden power behind the throne as well.... JMO

Well, then...He must be marrying her by this time. Monaco needs a Princess soon. I suppose he would not wait until he will have 80' to marry and have heirs.

If this lady is so "charmant" and is so wonderful to have change his mind, he should be marrying her. :ermm:

Vanesa.

:)all the pics are great my fav is number 2 Pa looks great in such an elegante' setting. While Pa always manages to look dashing in any photo he looks like he's lost weight in all pics.:innocent: It's so hard to tell in pics what one really weighs because the camera can either flatter or augment and it takes a skilled craftsman to make camera work right for some people. however, for PA it doesn't seem to be hard work to get good pics for him (boy oh boy would we like to know what kind of camera his people use huh!) they always do a great job. :D:clap::monacostandard::popcorn:

Thanks for the pictures. He photographs very well. I haven't been paying attention to him in a while. He looks very different than he used to.

He's only competed in the Bobsled in the Olympics.

He had lost weight. Thanks for the pics.

When?:bang: His jacket is quite nice. He apparently isn't trying to be a model of a man. And just enjoys himself in every way. And what else is there-being a highly coveted middle-aged man and all. Way to go Albert, but stay well, 'there's a long trail awinding '.

great pics iceflower in the second group number 4 is my favorite and the one sitting at table in red sweater are marvelous keep up the good work. hey how "did" you get those pics anyway???;) Iceflowers did you "manage" to stow away :hiding:

in Pa luggage to have gotten your hands on the photos hmm-m-m.:hmm:

is -is there something iceflowers you haven't told us about or do you have a magic carpet stashed away somewhere "just" for these occasions. well, if you did stow away in PA luggage the "least" you could have done was taken some of us with you tee hee hee. :ROFLMAO::innocent::monacostandard:

Prince Albert took part in a charity event in Selva di Val Gardena Italy to collect fund for AMADE.
During the dinner presenter Valerio Staffelli of Canale 5, offered a "golden tapyr", a statuette representing the symbol of the satirical TV news programme "Striscia la Notizia". Prince Albert offered € 2,500 and brought the tapyr home;)

I'll bet I know a certain little tyke who could show A how to drive that snowmobile--if he knew how to ski first!

A sad event today:
Prince Albert of Monaco arrives for the funeral ceremony of French
crooner Henri Salvador at the Madeleine Church in Paris on February
16, 2008. Salvador, the all-round entertainer with an infectious laugh,
who first went on stage in the cabarets of pre-war Paris and played
guitar with Django Reinhardt, died in Paris on February 13, 2008 at 90
