Yes, he might have said that. But who hasn't heard that type of stock phrases by a man who wants to drag you to bed? (I suppose they are giving classes somewhere named how to easily fool a woman approaching 30..) I wouldn't take any of it seriously, but the behaviour to go with I would consider throughly. And in that department PA is just giving her enough to keep her going until he moves on. A man who is serious about a woman behaves differently towards her from the beginning. And he certainly doesn't take her to the B-event so he doesn't have to take her to the A-event. The fact that PA is doing this to CW shows me that CW herself is also a B-event.

She does talk to the media just like Nicole did. I read an article that came from another Charlene interview that said. CHARLENE SAID, back in 2000 she was dating someone and Albert was dating Nicole, this is why it wouldn't work out back then. Charlene said she and Albert kept in touch by email. If I can find this article again I will post it.

Albert needs to run far away from Charlene. Something is not right somewhere.

I will agree that they don't look happy together.

LOL! That's too funny:p. I thought I was the only one thinking those comments were just a line.

I know it sounds crass but seriously, I hope she thinks to get something more than just "thanks that was fun, but I just cannot do this anymore" and "but what am I supposed to do, it's just not working out that's all..." from Albert.

Maybe she should consult a just a few lines only from the 'book of Coste' about not giving it all away for free and walking away empty handed;) :)

What I mean is imo she should try to get a hold of herself and make as much exposure as possible while she's with PA and try to stop looking so much like a lovesick teenager. Maybe then after it's over (if it does end) she can turn her 'interaction' with him into a nice job somewhere making serious money.

CW may need 'rescuing' like those other women Albert seems to pick up. Or she may be a little naive or something. I don't know.

Well, maybe we could be a little bit more generous to ms. cw...

It will be very revealing this weekend. If CW is with PA in the box--they are on track--but if she is already left town before the main event--well things are cooling down........ It would take a while for CW to pick-up on it--she is one confident woman....
If PA is cooling towards her he better be careful and give CW the gentle let down.
She is a high school drop -out with no career--he is her ticket to $$$ and stardom.....
She loves to talk now-while things are good, she'll really wreak havoc with the press if she is dropped. PA better beware if he is having a change of heart.....

He said "it is possible" that 11 August is the day of the announcement; it's also possible that it isn't. That post isn't telling us anything we don't already know. Speculation on discussion boards based on conjecture about what someone may possibly be doing or what the tabloids think may be happening because of something allegedly told to them by "a source near the prince" is just so much waste of time.

I wonder if she is living in Paris/Monaco now like CP Mary did before things got serious with Fred? When I look at those photos I can't help bu think she is incredibly unpolished. But she can learn that in time, I guess.
 
That should be MC on the bottom of the hotel de PAris. (below the Louis XVI restaurant) So it isn't really shopping (she isn't dressed that way). They are comming from the direction Sporting d'Hiver which is the way they would have to go if they were coming on foot from PAs appartment, which is located just up the road. And with all the road blockage, that would have been the shortest way to get to the restaurant.
 
In the last picture on post # 196--PA looks like he is trying to lose CW.....
Is PA in the Cartier pictures? Is she talking to people on the street?
Quite the entourage :p
Looks like she brought her publicist....

What exactly looks unpolished about her ? To me, in the 'shopping at Cartier' pictures she looks quite nice.
Okay, I know you think that I like her and find her great .... No, you know I don't even know much about her ....
And btw; I feel as if I missed something : You all say that she talkes a lot to the press ... well, except that Paris Match Interview where she talkes about herself, swimming, her family etc ..... I never got to read anything more that she might have said :confused: .... so what in the world did she talk about that makes you Ladies go sooooo mad ????

For example : ' Albert might have said this and that to her .., Charlene might think this and that..... etc.
You have to be great great psychologists to analyse these people so intensively while you don't know a single bit about them.

It is possible that Charlene is just a girlfriend of Albert and they don't even mean to be a serious couple ... and yes the opposite is possible too ....
Me for my part ... It would be fine with me both ways!!!

I took a look on that other board too ... far too many people around here and there that claim to have insights .... saying things like: 'These aren't the Palace gardens Albert and Charlene walk in ' ...
To have that straight : ' This area they walk in belongs to the Palace. You can even see the princely family members privat carports.

As for the one or other member of the government giving a critical interview.... Let him be critical... I'm sure Prince Albert has good ways to cooparate and work with his goverment and all the members...

And finally it seems like some are fearing that Monaco will go down and be thrown bacxk to the 50s with Albert . ... That's rediculous, just take a look at Monaco, go there and you'll see that there are many successfull projects ... yes, there are also some that might not be successfull and also some things that could be a lot better - but it is this way in aevery other countrie too - even Monaco can't be perfect, they can only try ... there's no need to coplain all the time, it only makes life less enjoyable ;)!

Does anyone know who the people are with her?

As a rather shallow observation:
If I knew that I was going to be photographed all the time I would have gone to a stylist to learn what type of clothes and styles suit me. (and face the criticism rather than look awful)

That dress does nothing for her IMO.

Posters are not putting down CW just to put her down. Most everyone thinks that Annabelle rocks. People on this board were sooo excited to see her at the Expedition dinner.....
If Annabelle showed up next to PA at a Grand Prix event--people would posting lovely comments... She has support on this forum. She's beautiful and accomplished. So we are not a bunch of jealous ladies.
Now with the high school drop out CW--could it actually be that posters have Genuine concerns about her???? Yes!
People are not putting down all the women in PA's life--but CW has serious red flags. She's almost 30 and lacks a high school degree--I would not want any of my male relatives to dating her.
CWs words and actions are very revealing in a negative way. I saw the picture of CW lying between PA's legs in the stands at the Olympics before it went to cyberspace...
 
Apparently, it is irrelevant to Prince Albert what kind of education Charlene has. In my opinion, this is serious. He has brought her home, to his kingdom. Shopping at Cartier with an entourage? In the palace gardens with him? When have you seen him do this in the past? It looks to me like he has made his decision.
 
I saw the pictures of CW in Cartier’s. The pictures only showed her being escorted and talking to people. She is PA’s guest and he seems to be busy with his schedule of associates and family, so she should get out and have some fun. It is a good thing she keeps occupied. Most women love to shop if only to browse, so why not go to all of the upscale venues. PA probably requested as a favor for someone on his staff to make arrangements for CW and she ended up in Cartier’s as one of the points of interest. I do not think he would send her there to purchase an engagement ring or a tiara. The pictures did not show her buying anything only talking. It appears she is enjoying her visit.

I am keeping an open mind so this is only my opinion. :)

Hello everyone...missed you all but was concentrating on items at work. I've been reading everyone's comments and just thought I'd add my own and a few questions.

1. Is CW still in MC? I couldn't tell if the most recent Cartier photos were taken after this past weekend's activities.

2. She still is not around at family events so while they may be "exclusive" whatever that means to them, I don't think the relationship has wandered too far down the matrimonial path.

3. If the PR office at the palace is now monitoring whatever comes out in the press, to me that is a sign that they are none too pleased with Dad & Grandma's interviews with the press.

4. RE: CW's style: to each her own. She may not have the $$$ to have such a wide array of things to choose from and also she may not be aware that she should be slightly more dressed up than the average spectator or what she would normally do in SA.

5. To me, the dress she was wearing was far too formal for a shopping expedition. I got the impression she was doing some sort of ad for Cartier or as paca suggested, taking a short cut to a restaurant and did some window shopping or escaping from the camera's lens. I like the dress CW is wearing in the Cartier photos. In fact I do like the halter style she has been choosing lately. However, I learned that reading a "what not to wear" book that if you have broad shoulders such styles emphasize that. She might be better off in a v-neck, plain top and put the details lower such as a skirt or funky shoes to offset the shoulders and show off her amazing legs.

6. I sincerely doubt that they will announce an engagement on August 11th as PA will be in Newport, RI. If there is an announcement, it will probably be done in SA or MC (Grace & Rainier announced in Philadelphia). Besides that weekend Albert is in Newport for an exhibit honoring his mother, I don't think it would be wise to upstage her memory. As for the entourage of 300, I'm sure it contains a few Grimaldis as well as various contingents from the Kelly clan.

Just my thoughts, hope all is well with everyone.

Makes sense to me. Nicole Coste (and maybe a few others) did the same.

PA always sent someone to chauffer NC around the same way, take her just wherever she wanted to go in MC and escort her everywhere as Albert's guest. The escort basically kept her busy until PA arrived back to his apartments where they would have their 'visit' with each other.

IMO, same thing here, just now in pictures that are being shown rather than low key private.

Nicole also said sometimes the escort would take her right to PA's apartment in MC because he was busy and she would just wait there for him, and they would stay indoors, or go to a movie or to the restaurant there during her 'visit'. I would guess CW probably doing the same, but I do not know

Nothing different here with CW, imo. Same script, same leading man, same supporting players, different woman...:p

that's just all my opinion. obviously PA can do whatever he wants. at least CW seems to be enjoying herself

But when did everyone know about Nicole and maybe a few others?

It seems that to me, all the other relationships were kept quiet.

If Charlene is "The One" (and I hope not) why allow her to be presented like she has been? Some of those photos will haunt her, Albert and any children they have or ever.

I actually think that PA's feelings for Charlene have weakened slightly. I believe they still have a relationship --but something has changed.
He had the option of bringing her to romantic Spain for the Laureous awards--he didn't. He could have brought her to the charity soccer game--no.--even though Andrea and Pierre had girl friends in the stands..
He took her to the "Pre" grand Prix event-- most of the stands were empty...Not the actual event---
There is a picture of PA attending a fashion show yesterday(Grand Prix thread)--he didn't ask her to attend that (good thing-his eyes are popping out at a model)
When PA was with Annabelle at the Gala dinner his eyes were glowing--I don't see this with Charlene anymore.
Maybe I'm just wishful thinking , but Charlene isn't attending the big events any more for a reason...
She has gone way down from being introduced to Princess Anne of England ..
If she reappears this weekend-----I am wrong and things are on track..

I think men treat women at the level of respect that they command. If she's happy being his woman only behind closed doors, then he will oblige.
 
I want to point out something to everyone about this relationship. Albert was never in the position he is now and can take whomever he wants to the Palace since Rainier is no longer there to object. That is where he lives, his home. That is the Palace grounds and photo's of Albert have been taken there before and posted.

On the dress I don't care for that style on her. She needs to do something to not draw so much attention to her shoulders and give her some curves like a fuller or softer flowing skirt. The length is good.

I also want to say to those who criticize her lack of education Princess Diana was a drop out as well. Give her credit for her honesty in admitting it wasn't important to her. I haven't read her interviews. I hate to say this but I have a feeling no matter who the woman is that Albert dates of takes home as his wife someone will always find something wrong with her. Part of this has been caused by his lack of staying with a woman for any period of time in the public eyes and not making a choice. When Albert makes it no one will tell him no and he isn't going to give a darn what others think. Charlene has been criticized for her looks. Take a look at the other woman Albert generally dates as his girlfriends they are on the plain side and look at Nicole. He is more attracted to this sort possibly for several reasons. Its been said beautiful woman are shallow and in many cases stuck on themselves. He is looking for a woman whose beauty comes from within to satisfy his own inner needs.
 
They don't look happy on the Chi cover. Maybe the inside has happier photos.

Perhaps CW has seen the photos appeared on "GENTE" magazine, where Prince Albert was having fun with CBS anchor Alycia Lane at a party on a yacht in MC. They seemed to be very close, so to speak.
 
Tosca, if possible could you post a link to the Alycia Lane/PA pictures?
Also, check-out post # 103 in the Grand Prix thread. PA is mesmorized by Model Eva at the Amber Lounge. CW better watch-out!
