I also agree that he was great. I hadn't imagined that I could combine hobbies and work. I've used his lecture as a part of social and political studies at high school level, with reasonable success Might be a tip for other teachers out there.

I think it's nice for Haakon to visit the troops. Did Haakon ever serve in the military?

Prince Haakon entered the Royal Norwegian Navy’s naval recruit training school on board the KNM Harald Hårfagre at Madlamoen, near Stavanger. After a five-week-long training course, he continued his military education at the Naval Cadet College at Karljohansvern in Horten, and then completed a three-year naval officer’s training programme at the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy in Bergen. In August 1995 he began his compulsory service in the Navy on naval torpedo boats, finishing the year as second-in-command of a Norwegian naval vessel

Thank you for the pictures, Paty and Turkish Delight!
Could one of you say why was King King Carl Gustav of Sweden present as well? Is the Kosterhavet National Park connected to Sweden in any way?

Judging by the caption for ANP picture (which says King Carl Gustaf of Sweden and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway are seen during the inauguration of the Koster Sea natural reserve in Stromstad, Sweden), that was indeed a joint Norwegian / Swedish project.
The Koster Sea (Kosterhavet) is on the west coast of Sweden bordering Norway and a valuable recreational resource: it stands to reason that the Koster Sea Natural Reserve would include territories from both countries.

Thank you for the links, Paty!

The Kosterhavet National Park has a Wiki entry too, but it's not very up to date, I'm afraid: the entry says that the park (which is now the first marine national park of Sweden) is planned to be inaugurated in September 2009. Wonder if it's worth to edit the entry to update the information.

Anyway, according to the entry, the park is located in Strömstad Municipality, and that's right on the Norwegian border. The picture of the park also clearly includes some Norwegian territory.
