Oh dear, oh dear, she has broken out the black opaque stockings already!!!:eek:
And they go so well with the suit with the clown collar on it.
I love M.M., but this suit is just dreadful. Especially the way it hikes up on the side when she raises her arm to wave to the people.
But other than that, its good to see her out and about. She looks very happy.
 
I don't think the suit is all that bad, even with the frilly ruffles (not my style, though, it think ruffles can make anything look really matronly). It's just the fact that the jacket is so ill-fitting that makes it look so awful on her.
 
I absolutely love M-M but her outfit is AWFUL:bang::bang::bang:
I can't believe someone her age dresses like my mother and she is 80 yrs old. Her outfit is not flattering at all and what can we say about those terrible black hose, why does she feel she needs to wear them all the time??????:eek::eek:
Does she have circulations problems, they look like orthopedic hose:lol::lol:
I can't wait for the day when she starts wearing color again, she is such a beautiful woman, why does she try to hide it all the time.?????? She looks so washed out.
 
A rather unusual engagement but obiously appreaciated.

The Crown Princess attends a walking frame festival as part of the Senior Citizens' Cultre Week in Ullensaker (11:00).

It aims to put focus on how you can make every part of the society available for everyone, also old people and people with disabilities and try and help many older people overcome their unwillingness to have to use a walking frame.

Originally it was the King or Queen who was invited bu they declined. After that Mette-Marit had seen the invitation and wondered what in the world a walking frame festival was, she had talked about it at the office and then decided to attend

10 Km is NOT a marathon! Not even close. It's about 1/5th the distance.
 
I know that; but I blame it on the media! They wrote it first, so I was only referring to these ... Sorry! :)
 
Mette-Marit will run (is running now) 10 km of the Maraphon, so technically she's running the part of it. good luck to her. She is in good shape if she argeed to take part in it :whistling:
 
And...

will she be wearing anything that resembles black hose, I wonder? :whistling:
 
Great stuff. I hope we won't see any black on MM today! It's fascinating, both Haakon & MM are as close to the public as possible and it seems to work in Norway. I am not surprised they are so popular especially with younger people.
 
Good for her! Unfortunately the only running I do is to the refridgerator!

With Grete Waitz, several times winne fo NY marathon, Mette-MArit wore the same top as her from the active against cancer campaign. Waitz has battled cancer recently

Edit Aftenposten writes her friend in blue is Kristin Rosenløw Eeg and the man in red is Professor of Geologi Bjørn Jamtveit. The three ran together the whole race
 
Very nice photos! Mette Marit looks like she enjoyed herself.
 
Good for her for taking part in the race. 10K is quite an accomplishment whether you are a beginning runner or an experienced. It's nice to see that she was out there. By doing so she encourages other to exercise, which is always a good thing. Looked like beautiful cool weather for a race, which is always nice.

MM looks like she takes her excercise fairly frequently and works to keep herself looking trim, which is just right.
 
I didn't know, that she makes any sports. Does she make only running or something other sport too?
