Before Haakon went to South Korea he attended the marking of Asker as Norway's third fairtrade municipality. Asker is where SKaugum is located

On Saturday Mette-Marit will be Godmother of Hurtigrutens new explorership Fram (which is also what King Haralds sailboats are called) Hurtigruten is very famous in NOrway and arranges beautiful cruises along the coast from Bergen and to the North. This new ship will also go to Greenland and is specialising on Polar cruises. Hurtigruten is arranging a huge event with some of Norways most famous artists at the Akershus dock to mark the christening May 19 13.00

But I guess now they are ironing their national costumes shirts and shining their shoes (or more likely someone does it for them ) and hope for nice weather tomorrow, they will appear outside Skaugum around 8-8.30 to greet the local parade before they move to the Palace for a quick change and to watch the big parade in the center

The whole Crown Prince Family will take part when the full rigged ship Sørladet celebrates 80 years after an extensive renavation, Mettte-Marit is protector for the ship. The Mayor of Kristiansand says it is probable that the whole family will come for the celebration on june 27th

From 26-28 August Haakon and Mette-Marit will make a county trip to Troms, it is the municipalities in the most nothern part of the county that will get a royal visit, more specifically Kvænangen, Skjervøy, Karlsøy, Kåfjord, Lyngen and Storfjord. Troms is the second most nothern county of Norway.

Mette-Marit will also take part in Ketil Moes memorial walk in the Kristiansand Zoo August 30th, 3 time Olympic speed skating winner JOhan Olav Koss is also comming, they both attended back in 2003 when Mette-MArit was pregnant with Ingrid ALexandra

Yay the family will be out on June 27th! Although i am holiday when this happens but I have something to look forward to when I come home. Plus I am missing Lillepigen's christening too.

YEsterday Mette-Marit opened the exhibition "Melting Ice a hot topic?" in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Center, there was also an outdoor concert with speeches by Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai

Crown Prince Haakon at the "Boy conference" in Asker today. the conference is for boys in 10th grade and their fathers. The subject is the mental health of boys and studies that shows that many boys dont tell people when something is wrong and that it is very important for them to appear maskulin at a very young age to be respected or something to that effect

Crownprince Haakon also looks wonderful. He has a "mature look" that fits him a lot. He is no more "the young man" but the man. I can see in his face the Norwege future King.

haakon and mette marit were among the guests for prince pavlos' 40th birthday party in london. they celebrated it with an angels and demons party (white and red dresses) at their house in chelsea, and mette marit dressed as an angel. i think she looked adorable!

Seems the Mayor was wrong, kongehuset and the countyman both says she is comming alone. She will board the ship at 14.00 and take part in a 3 hour long trip outside Kristiansand for especially invited guests to celebrate the 80 anniversary of the ship.

what a nice picture of mette marit, ingrid and marius. ingrid and marius seem to have grown up so much! how come mm didn't want to talk to the local paper?

Well, i guess if your on holiday you expect not to have the press in your face. Dont they get enought when royals are on duty? guess not..

The Crown Prince grants representatives of the bow corps Nygaards Bataljon audience on the occation of the Bataljon's 150 years anniversary (12:00).

Seems the King is out of the country because Haakon will preside the last state council before the vacation tomorrow


The family was in Kristiansand this weekend, they visited Marit Tjessem and Mette-Marits sister Kristin, They also attended the wedding of one of Mette-Marits childhood friend Hege Aasgaard to Espen Hilde. Mette-Marit wore her national costume from Vest Agder (the one from national day 2005)
