Little Amalia sure is raking up those frequent flyer miles..
Other crown princely couples are lambasted for being on vacation a lot--it seems this one is on vacation a lot too. No?

Nice list indeed, W-A and Maxima also went to the Cote d´azur, for the 50th birthday of Marie-astrid of Luxemburg and Carl of Austria.

Actually, She has done a lot before and after her marriage! She took a long break since her pregnancy, and after the birth of Catharina, it is allowed in the Netherlands to have a few more months rest. She did some things in the Netherlands after that break, but then the summer came, so, that must be the explination, right?

Princess Mary is doing the same as princess Maxima did in her begining.

Maxima is one the most serious princesses. She just doesn't smile and shop. She contribute much more to the Dutch community than anyone else.

She contributes more than who? the other members of the dutch royal family? It is a well known fact that they do not do as much as the English Royals whose agenda's are very full with official engagements.
Her contribution is that she makes Willem Alexander look good. If he had married someone like Emily the monarchy would have been in trouble in the future.

It is true that are not active as the British royals, but Maxima is very often in the news here because of all her work for the Integration Commision and other things. Also she has a lot of private duties which are never made public by the RVD.

Willem-Alexander has not much engagements, and also Constatijn and Laurentien doesn't have much duties. Only the queen has more.

A friend of my has a lot of pictures of private engaments to schools, factories, etc. etc.

People who doesn't live in Holland know maxima only as a shopaholic but she works almost every day here!! I think in the 2 years she has work more than all that other Crown Princesses. She does her work as Princess The best, and she deserves a holiday!!! and Yes, she have money, she can shop till she drop :P, SO wat???

I live in Holland and have never heard of private engagements that are unknown to the public.
But if you might be better informed about this.

Maxima is now together with Amalia in Argentina visting her mother. See the website of Hello magazine, pictures taken on Wednesday.

The following things were not made public by the RVD.

* Her visit to Maastricht
* Her visit to the Faculteit Educatie in Nijmegen
* Her visit to Den Bosch en Tilburg two or three weeks ago.
* Het visit to Almere, to "burgemeester" Jorritsma

and more private visits. Even the queen has them.
Remember that this tradition comes from Juliana. She wished to visit the people without that they knew a royal was going to visit them.

Mathilde is what I call a Perfect Princess: she's beautiful, elegant and with control. She's doing a lot for Belgium and fans number grows all the time. Maxima smiles like a chicken, she has no class!
If you call Work travelling all the time, it's ok for me, but I don't agree with you.
Mathild has no affairs after her marriege, Mary just have one but Maxima had a loto of men in her life, so there's no big difference between her and Letizia!

Please don't make cutting remarks about a person's looks. While you may not like Maxima's smile it is not something she can help. It's what was given to her. Thank you.

Aninhas: It's lovely that you like Mathilde and Mary, but there is no need to trash other people. If you don't like Maxima don't visit this thread. I don't understand why people who like Mary often think the best way to endear her to others is to trash other princesses. Some people like Maxima--you don't--respect their opinions and people will respect yours. Of course, this is also just my opinion...

No princess is a real good one. Mathilde´s father ans uncles have a huge fight, Maxima´s father´s life wasn´t good either, Letizia diorced once, but the people don´t care, They only care how the crownprincesses will be in their new life.

All the princesses didn't have affairs after their marriage.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but to be so rude is not needed. If you had read my posts carefully you could see I had proove she isn't just travelling, nor the other princesses do. Every CP is hard-working.

Discussion closed, at least for me.

Abd that´s why their husbands and in-laws accepted them. Hopefully they don´t make those mistakes again

i think what you said is quite hard. not only the fact, also that is the other way round. to me maxima does so many things for her country, she is one of the hardest working princesses. and she surely does not only smile and shop...

maxima has no class? i don't really know what you mean. come on! she comes from one of the most powerful families in argentina! i think she has a lot of class and elegance, and that's why i admire her. she knows how to be in each circumstance and adapts herself to the person she is talking to. she can make people feel comfortable.
a lot of men in maxima's life? i don't know any other relation. it's obvious she may had boyfriends. every woman has at least a little affair with 30 years old!
i think she does not only travel. she does many things in her own country.
i also think it's really disgusting what you say about her smile. what's wrong with it? a lot of people love it.
to each his own. however i find you are being really hard with her. she is not that bad. she may have things you don't like, but your judgement is incoherent, imho.
