Princess Margriet received the first copy of the Red Cross first aid by accidents (EHBO) stamp
in Den Haag today, January 30, 2012. The new EHBO stamp by PostNL is to mark the 145th
anniversary of the Dutch Red Cross. Margriet was also present at a first aid course for mailmen
and women of PostNL.

And she got the first stamp on occasion of the 145th anniversary of Dutch Red Cross too..:)
 
Princess Margriet always represents the DRF so elegantly IMO, love her white suit!
 
HRH Princess Margriet will attend the opening of the annual Keukenhof flower exhibition that will be opened
this year by Mrs.Anna Komorovska,spouse of President Komorovski of Poland.

This years theme is ;" Poland,heart of Europe".

The Keukenhof will be open from march 22nd til may 20th.

HRH Princess Margriet will receive the book;" The Times of Good Peace,Johan Maurits of Nassau in Dutch Brazil",during a reception at the Residence of HE the ambassador of Brazil.Mr.J.A. Denot Medeiros at Wassenaar.Tuesday march 27th.

The book was written in 1647 by the Dutch Author,minister and Poet Casparus Barlaeus on the time Jahan Maurits of Nassau Siegen ruled as a Governor in Dutch Brazil as it was called at the time.we'd beat the Portuguese to it....

Johan Maurits "The Brazilian" also is the builder of the Mauritshuis,once his residence after his return as Governor of Brazil,next to the Houses of Parliament at The Hague,a exquisit museum these days.

written by Casparus Barlaeus, at the residence of the ambassador of Brazil in Wassenaar, March 27, 2012.
Prince Maurits was present as well.

According to the caption the prince left in his electric car. He promossd to buy one when he was last on tv (as ambassador for electric or hybrid cars) so good to see that he did :).

The Prince feels he's done his bit heading the promotion of use of electric cars and will change jobs soon.He thinks it's time for someone else to build on what is achieved already...Well,there is a massive increase of people on electric bicycles in the city....grin...I love Maurits's car though...

A great looking Princess Margriet today, April 12, received the first copy of the book ''Dutch New York:
a guide to the heritage of New Netherlands" at the Scheepvaart museum in Amsterdam. The book shows
the cultural heritage of the Dutch people during the 17th century in New York.

IJssel Den Nul in Olst-Wijhe today, April 19, 2012.
The info centre focusses on education and information about the nature and history of the IJssel area.

Princess Margriet and Pieter van Vollenhoven attended the international horse show Indoor Brabant 2012
with FEI World Cup Finals in 's-Hertogenbosch today, April 21, 2012. The event takes place from April 19
to 22.

The Princess visited the rehabilitation center "De Hoogstraat",Utrecht thursday april 26th.

The Princess visited the center to see for herself how a project on revalidation for each in their own path took shape.The Princess was awarded the National Rehabilitation Award in 2010,consisting of 12.000 euro for her impressive work with and for people with disabilities and chronical illnesses.

The Princess donated the sum to the new Hoogstraat project at the time.
HRH was informed on the i-Pad software thet enables people in rehab to
controle their life and rehab process better themselves.

HRH Princess Margriet is Patron of the National Rehabilitation Fund.
 
HRH Princess Margriet,Prof.mr.Pieter van Vollenhoven and His Highness Prince Pieter-Christiaan will attend the Remembrance of the Dead at the Grebbeberg,Rhenen on may fourth.

May fourth is the day for the National Remembrance of the Dead of WW II and all conflicts and missions after.

Princess Margriet was on a working visit to Apenheul Zoo,Arnhem this morning.
 
On tuesday HRH Princess Margriet will open the exhibition " Orange and National Costumes" at Het Loo Palace.
