Here are my opinion:

1) Princess Grace of Monaco;
2) Princess Caroline;
3) Princess Diana;

In my personal opinion, Mathilde is the most tender loving mother and Mary is the least.

My vote goes to mathilde too. As of mary, she isn't openly affectionate, but is definitly caring and tuned into what her children need

Because I dont know any of the princesses, I cant say who is the most loving just by watching photos. I believe that they all are loving and caring mothers.

I just show footage of Diana, Princess of Wales with her children in Spain.
She seemed very motherly, tender, and hand on with her boys.

Also saw a photo of Crown Princess Mary holding one of her new born twins.
I felt the love from the photo.

I don't know the other Princess so these two our my pick for now.

I think the most devoted royal mother ever was Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna of Russia born Princess Alix von Hessen und bei Rhein (1872-1918), Russia's last Tsarina.

Every part of her body was devoted to her son, the Tsarevitch Alexey (nicknamed 'Alyoshka') and her daughters, the Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Anastasia and Maria. We all know about their fate.

From the present-day royals I think it is hard to say who is 'the most devoted'. Did you know that Princess Mxima, after all the wife to the future King, is so close to her daughters that she even volunteers as a 'lice mom' on their school in Wassenaar? For me this proves that she is no 'perfect mom' for the pictures but a real mom indeed, also in attitude to her daughters' non-royal classmates.

CP Mary. Definitely. She seems like such an amazing mom who cares incredibly a lot for her children.

Okay, the more I think about the premise of this thread the more it creeps me out. How can any of us evaluate who is the most tender loving mother?

Anyone remember the divine Joan Crawford? After the publication of her daughter's book many people admitted they knew that things were not right with the faimily and that they thought she adopted her children for "publicity", and certainly the family album was that of the ideal loving family.

Do not get me wrong, I am not saying any of the Crown Princesses has a borderline personality disorder. What I am saying is that everything we see is, to a certain extent, scripted. We are never going to see a Royal Mother slap a whiny disobedient child but we also don't know what will happen to said whiny child once they are back home and there are no cameras.

So to me the only way we can tell anything is in the later years when their kids are out on their own or old enough to show how they feel but not old enough to hide it.

The interview with Prince Charles, William and Harry was so funny. The boys took the mickey out of Charles something wicked. Real guy stuff, but it was obvious there was a close and loving bond between them. When the current crop of kids are that age we will be better able to assess their relationships with both their mothers and their fathers.

As things stand we are being asked to assess the "value" of a mother's love based on veracity of the media coverage accorded each Royal Mother.

Note: Maxima's Lice Mom stints bode fair for a good family life going, as it does, well beyond that which is expected of a Royal Mother.

I would think crown princess Mary of Denmark she seems like such a nice lady and loves her children as much as she loves her husband, crown prince Frederick.
