What would YOU wear to YOUR coronation?

please provide pics and give as much details:
1) jewels - which pieces and by which jewellers?

if im become royals i would wores off-shoulder with beads of red-blues by verisons England and jewels, flat shoes also

A flat shoe might better for long time in standing position but some lady might not think that flat shoes are proper enough for official event, how ever I think it won't noticed clearly if you wear long dress and you are a tall person.

Well, if it was my coronation I wouldn't care about the heighth of the shoes, as long as my legs and feet would look good I'd deal with the pain.

Dress: I would wear one of these for my coronation

1. http://entimg.msn.com/i/gal/Undressed_Oscars/khudson_oscars_350x435.jpg from msn.com under undressed.

I would want to wear something like this, I love this dress, the little jacket does it for me I love the elvis collar :)

I would also wear something to this effect just not in red maybe a cream color or very very light pink.

Jewels:

I would wear all the jewels in this picture of Queen Alexandra inlcuding the tiara. From royal-jewels site.

Shoes:

Any Jimmy Choo 4 inch heel will suit me fine, I tend to like the pointed toe instead of the open toe.

I should wear a blue dress princesse-style with a simple diamond tiara and white classic shoes. I should wear diamond earrings too. My hair would be not tied up, but over my shoulders as Maroc Queen wears it.

Vanesa.

Coronation........

if you have a dream to be a royal, i wonder...

What would YOU wear to YOUR coronation?

I love the Coronations as they took place during the previous centuries: Gorgeous Gowns and Robes with real Majestic Grace, Splendor & Ceremony: flowing Gowns with long sweeping Royal Trains and Divine Royal Ermine Robes...
So, dreaming to be a Royal, My Coronation would be like that...;)

Well I love this Crown
http://famousdiamonds.tripod.com/greatimperialcrown.jpg but if not that one, I'd say this one http://www.hrp.org.uk/Images/crown-jewels.jpg

This necklace http://dcpages.com/gallery/d/385-2/Hope_Diamond_Front.jpg

This orb http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3b/Wien_-_Schatzkammer_-_Orb.png and this sceptre http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/19/IMG_0107_-_Wien_-_Schatzkammer_-_Sceptre.JPG

I know they don't match, but I'm mixing up my favorites. I don't know what dress, shoes, or robe though.

Were I to be crowned King, at my coronation I would wear this crown - File:Corona Prusia2.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - to and from the Church and be actually crowned with this crown - http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3152/2374198124_66a9e07387.jpg . In terms of robes, I don't know if I'd go for either the majestic look - http://www.1st-art-gallery.com/thum...I-Of-Austria-In-His-Coronation-Robes-1832.jpg - or the military look - http://www.easypedia.gr/el/images/shared/4/44/Edward_VII_in_coronation_robes.jpg. Hopefully I would be a lot younger than Francis of Austria and Edward VII, though !

I'd wear a white or very pale pink dress that was very, very full, billowing back into a long train, sleeveless and embroidered with red roses. On top of it I'd wear a robe of crimson velvet some 25' long.

The jewellery I'd wear would be my ruby and diamond cross, which never comes off, my jewelled Catherine bracelet, the rings I normally wear; a rose gold, ruby and diamond necklace and matching diadem.

There would also be plenty of beads and sequins on my dress for that bit of extra sparkle, as was the case with the Queen's coronation dress.

What music would you have for your coronation?

Following on from Constance's thread about what you would wear for your coronation, I've started this thread to discuss what music you'd have for the event.

I'd come in to Parry's I was Glad as has been the case with British coronations since 1902.

Mass setting: Schubert in G

Anthems: to include Byrd's Haec Dies, Handel's Zadok the Priest, Purcell's Let my Prayer Come Up

I guess I'd go out to La Rejouissance from Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks.

Over to you.

I would choose either Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty Waltz" or Beethoven's "Ghost"

I would certainly like to have The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams which is a reflective piece of music reminiscent of the English countryside, but it has some dramatic elements to it as well.

It would have to include Vaughan Williams' "Psalm 100" for choir, congregation, brass and organ." I think it was written especially for the Queen's coronation. It is one of my favorite pieces of choral music and has a verse or two in which the congregation sings the melody.

As an alternative mass setting for my coronation, I'd have DiLasso's Missa Bel' Amfitrit. If there was music that was worthy of being called sacred, it's that.

I've just stumbled across this thread and thought it looked like fun, apologies for turning up late to the party.

For my pre-coronation banquet, I would wear this Elie Saab gown with the Norwegian Diamond Daisy Tiara.

For the coronation, I would wear another Elie Saab gown, but in a different colour.

The music would include Handel's Zadok the Priest, My Hear is Inditing, Purcell's Trumpet Tune, some of the music Handel composed for the coronation of George II and Mendelshon's (sp) Lift Thine Eyes.

If dreams were real...

Well, that dress is stunning, but why on earth does the woman wearing it look so cross and grumpy?

Because she is about to take the throne of a vast Empire and this is her last night of freedom??!!

Another alternative mass setting I've thought of for my coronation is Byrd's Mass for Four Voices. That's a lovely setting. I'm not mad about Vaughan Williams's setting of Psalm 100, though, so I wouldn't have that at my coronation.

Angelique ?

Recently, Our Royal Heritage Society organized a special Royal Re-enactment Coronation to celebrate The 25th anniversary of The RHS.

As The Queen of the RHS, (partly because I was the original instigator of the RHS, and partly because of My Royal inclinations...Ha!) I was fortunate to be able to get to wear A gorgeous Coronation Gown & Robe. If you like, I can post some images of this Wonderful & Gorgeous Day, which I will never forget... A dream come true for Me! SO, If any of you wish to see some of the photo's, please let me know.

Royal Regards & Salutations,
Angelique. :flowers:

Your Excellent Majesty Angelique, yes I would love to see your photo's of the coronation. It is so much fun to dress up and re enact. I bet you all enjoyed it.
Your humble servant from far away.

OK. My coronation of course would only be attended here by the birds, squirrels, foxes, rabbits, Pete the Possum, a very annoying woodpecker and the occasional wild turkey but they're a good mix of subjects in my realm. Of course I'd have the proper dress for the occasion. It looks like this.

This dress is available for purchase also at https://www.wish.com/search/ball go...7ce83b38b0?source=search&position=1&share=web

I've never thought about me having a coronation but I have wondered how Diana would have looked at Charles' coronation.
