Baudouin = Baldwin in englisch or Balduin in german.
It's an old european name with gemanic or celtic roots (i don't know which)

The name "Baudouin" in Dutch is "Boudewijn". How "Boudewijn" is pronounced? How do the Dutch pronounce the alphabet "J"?

you say FAHDDA you say exactly the way i wrote it you stress on the D ok .... for hashim it H EVEN IN ARABIC .... for HAMZAH we write H BUT it is not H IT IS ANOTHER LETTER IN ARABIC.... FOR REEM we say it reem like seem

Meraude stated earlier in this thread, that there are 24 women in Norway, who have "Mette-Marit" as their given name. I don't know about "Haakon".

There are 2366 men with first name Haakon. And as stated before, 24 Mette-Marit's. But then there are 9789 women with Mette as their first name and 27368 Marit's, the name seems to be hugely popular in the 50's.

Haakon is a very old norse name; you find it in all the old sagas (like Knut, Olof, etc.)

Does Prince Rainier's name pronounced as "Ray-Nee-Ay" in French? In English, the pronounciation is much different, the name Rainier in English is pronounced as "Ray-Nee-Er".

Guillaume is pronounced "Giyom".
("G" as in "Gordon", "i" as in "Isabel", "y" as in "York", "o" as in "Orlando" and "m" as in "Mary").
