The Infantas jealous over Letizia, hmm maybe I doubt it though.

I think M C envies everybody, really.

Maybe Marie is jealous of Mary. I've always thought she looked like the typical indifferent stepmom, she just looks so poised to me. there's something that it's not right about her IMO.

I think the "something that not right about her" vibe came when she gave that tell-all interview when she was first dating Joachim. She seemed very smug and too open (and not in a good way) for royal watchers.

Real princesses always wear sleeves so why do we all go for strapless?

One can also observe the huge contrast between Marie's coldness -- I honestly find her smiles joyless and her eyes bland -- and her husband's ex-wife Alexandra who has warmth and sincerity in abundance. When Alexandra smiles, you get the feeling that she means it. She comes across as genuine and comforting.

Is Marie hugely popular in her adopted homeland? How is Alexandra deemed now? Thanks.

Prince Charles has always been portrayed in a bad light ever since the fairytale seemed to be coming apart. Every human is capable of jealousy but how you express it is another matter. Diana did some incredible charity work and is immortalized in death. Prince Charles has also done some remarkable charity work and has the burden of keeping up his duties as a future King. It must have been difficult to handle the breakdown of a marriage in front of the world watching. The childhood and standards he was brought up with were a bit old school now. Diana helped him and others come closer to the people. Diana was a great mother and Charles is a great father. I can't imagine dealing with the pressures he has to on a daily basis. Jealousy can be good and bad. There are forms of jealousy which can be expressed in a light hearted way. Remember when Diana sat down and played the piano after Prince Charles had some trouble with the cello in front of his teacher in Austrailia? That was a healthy jealousy as Diana saved the moment. We all judge character by actions of others. We need to be more understanding of one's self carriage and not assume the worst. It helps to have such a site to discuss these issues. In my opinion Diana commanded the spotlight and we all loved her. Now Prince Charles and Camilla are happy together with a lovely new daughter in law to be. Please keep watch and try to read through the lines which media prints. Articles are written from the author's angle and we can not discount this. More discussions like this forum can help shake out the truth. Best wishes to all.

We are all more or less jealous. It is human. We must all work on this weakness.

Coyld be more sibling rivalry which jealousy could be part of that rivalry. Given that Princess Stephanie has always had a mind of her own, it would be very difficult for someone to try to influence her. IMO, agt least

The Duchess of York has admitted that she used to be deeply jealous of royal rival Princess Diana because of her trim figure.
Fergie admitted: "I was deeply envious of Di because she was naturally tall and thin and I'm not."

It may be possible that Prss Marie of DK was a bit jealous of Cr Prss Mary to start with. But now that Marie has been in the job for a while I am certain she is no longer jealous of the role of a Crown Princess. That role takes you away from your family many times while visiting other countries and so often is a very busy role. Sometimes up to 3 events in a day. I think Prss Marie is happy with her role now as Mother/ wife and having all the privileges of being a princess without having to work too hard for it.
Lets face it the role of Crown Prss despite its privileges can be exhausting.

I've heard a rumour that Queen Fabiola was jealous of Queen Paola. Fabiola was jealous of her beauty and fertility.
Fabiola did not suffer from infertility. She became pregnant five separate times, two more than Paola. I've just never, in all my reading and studying of Fabiola, found her to be the jealous type, especially of a woman with a very troubled and unfaithful marriage.

Still, I don't think there was ill-will between those two ladies. I have many many photos and I just don't see it in the body language or facial expressions. Despite what people think, my impression is that Baudouin was much less flexible and lenient than Fabiola. Indeed, he is the one who had Paola's calls monitored. I don't think he was jealous either, just annoyed at the trouble caused to the royal family by his brother's troubled relationship.

Now if you want to talk about jealousy, I think Lilian, Princess of Réthy was jealous of Fabiola. Lilian hated moving from Laeken to Argenteuil and she spitefully and notoriously took all the furniture out of the living apartments at Laeken, royally (no pun intended) pissing off Baudouin, who was thereafter estranged from his father and step-mother.

It has been greatly reported that Fabiola and Lilian immediately took a disliking to one another.
