Empress, are your referring to Caroline of Ansbach? Wife of Georg II? Although he became Prince of Wales several years after their marriage.

Yup! Right again. Caroline of Ansbach was the fourth Princess of Wales and the first to become Queen of England to her intented husband. Joan of Kent, the first P of W never became queen. Anne Neville became queen to Richard III but was married to Henry VI's son. Catherine of Aragon's first husband was Arthur, son of Henry VII, who died 6 months after marriage. She became queen as the first of Henry VIII's six wives. Out of the nine women who have held the title (ten if you count Camilla) only four have become Queen consorts to their respective Prince of Wales.

Ok. I will be the first monarch descended from Charles II of England, and the first in my homeland to descend from Charles I since Queen Anne.

Ok. I have a good one for you:

I was twice divorced before I became the mistress of this Grand Duke, even gave birth to his heir before we were married in 1912. I was hated by the Queen of the country and loved by the locals of the Grand Duke's home town.
I was also, though not official, considered the last empress of the empire.

I've been researching royalty since I was about ten. And I watch Jeopardy! a lot which teaches you look for hints in the clues.

I got another. At the time, my status wasn't considered high enough for the royal family (which had produced two Russian empresses) I married into. But through my descendents' marriages, I am linked to the royal houses of Bulgaria, Spain, Sweden, and Great Britain. Who am I?

Julie von Hauke? Although, AFAIK, there are no marriage with Bulgaria with respect to her descendants, which is what you claim. Alexander of Battenberg abdicated the Bulgarian throne and became count of Hartenau, thus paving the way for Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg.

Also, Hesse hadn't produced two Empresses by the the time of her marriage to Alexander of Hesse and by the Rhine, which is what you claim. Natalia Aliexevna died long before Paul became Tsar, and Alexandra Feodrovna was a long way away in the future. Thus only Maria Alexandrovna, sister of the aforementioned Alexander, meets your criteria.

If it is not her, I'm stumped.

Queen Marie at Barn or Balcic?

Queen Mary's heart and bowels are apparently also burried at Holyrood House. So I guess it could be either one of these ladies (or perhaps neither!).

Well I don't know about them, but the royal I'm refering to isn't them.

Second clue: Legend says that because her heart is buried within the palace, the family she belongs to, has a kind of curse. In order for the curse to end, they must find her heart.

You're Right. Yeah, Alexander was never really a Bulgarian monarch. And as for Alix of Hesse, I meant past and future (probably should have used a different tense).

Julie von Hauke was the Royal to find, then? (excuse me , its not very clear for me by reading the post...:o )

I was thinking about Augusta von Braunschweig-Wolfenbuttel, but...

Here is my particpation:

I was lucky enough to worn two Crowns, had many children and grandchildren, and used to travel a lot..
