I can't remeber if it was the second year that Charles and Diana were married, they were skiing and Diana was in a foul humor and wouldn't pose for the photographers during a photo shoot, even with Charles begging her to let them get their pictures. I remember viewing pictures in a People magazine (I think) and she appeared to act like a spoiled child.

I agree with what you say Except that, I don't believe that money changes you. Money only makes you MORE of what you already are.
The majority of "us" who live "everyday" type lives spend time to time imagining, dreaming and wondering the, "what-if" as in, what if we had money, what if we could spend what we wanted, and so on..but NOT having access to enormous quantities of money on a consistent basis is what helps to keep us grounded and "in check" so to speak....
and a person's personality traits and demeanor are always the same. Sure, if I had "royal or celebrity money" I would act differently in the sense that I would be able to have access to afford more, but it doesn't mean that I would go from being a mild mannered "sweetheart" to a "rich bitch"

Princess Anne of Britain has one of the most sour pusses I have ever seen...and she does not exactly seem to exude warmth and kindness either.

I also pick up some bad chi from Infanta Elena of Spain...

The jury is still out on Charlotte Casiraghi..despite her megawatt beauty, I have read some unflattering stories about her personality and character.

What kinds of stories have you heard about Charlotte?

Also,Princess Margaret came off as snobbish and rude and self centered. And demanded money off of making appearences at charity balls.A charity ball.If thats true how greedy can you get when your sister is paying for you?

OMG...I knew that Princess Margaret had a reputation for being...difficult..but that is really beyond the pale.

What is ironic is that I have read from several sources that she was a deeply religious woman. Baffling...go figure.

I have never heard that Margaret demanded money to make an appearance at a charity ball. Where did you read this? Can you provide a source?

As for Crown Princess Mette-Marit; yes, she had an unusual past for a future Queen---but Prince Charles certainly played around and we're not bringing up his past behavior. Prince Andrew brought a soft porn star (Koo Stark) to meet his mother--personally, I think that is about the worst behavior I've ever heard of for a royal! I think that CP MM entered a very stressful life, and had some trouble adapting to it for a little while. She appears to do quite well now. As for CP Mary--I do think she's a little aloof, but perhaps she is just very shy. She looks like she could be shy.
I have heard, sorry can't remember where, that Koo Stark was pronounced the nicest girl she had met by Princess Anne and she was very popular with the royal family. If it were not for the film being publicized when she was dating the prince, I believe she would have become the Duchess of York. Probably a very good one too.
Everyone who has met her says she is extremely nice.

So, if you express in so flattering a way about Koo Stark, I suppose that you have nothing against eventual marriage between Prince Carl-Phillip of Sweden & Sophia Hellqvist?

How would it sound...Duchess Koo???
Good for Andrew that he married a woman with a traditional name.

She would probably have been duchess Kathleen (her real first name), that would have sounded more regal.

Let's get back on topic. With people who actually are royals and carry the appropriate titles.

I've met her, we had a good conversation and I thought she was an absolute darling. Funny in a witty way, warm and easy to talk to. Nevertheless she has been portrayed as the pushy snob by the media and I guess this will be the case in the future as well.

I got the charity ball story in the book "The Royals" by Kitty Kelley. Some people say the book is not true but some do.A critic said that it is "100% true".I personally don't know if it's true that's why I put the words "if that's true" in my post because I did'nt know what to believe!

I have heard that Anne won't let a off lightly, but I wouldn't call her a sour puss who doesn't exude warmth or kindness. Just look at these. I want to pinch her on the cheek!

I don't know what to believe either. I hope that it isn't true, though. I've always liked Margaret believing her to have simply been a tell it like it is type. I guess that those scoulding letters she sent to Sarah ("HOW DARE YOU SEND ME THOSE FLOWERS") and Diana ("UNFIT TO BE A MEMBER OF THE ROYAL FAMILY") don't speak highly of her. I am hardly an admirer of Diana or Sarah, but it takes a much higher level of venom to write things like that.

Princess Margaret was difficult, but she was a true Princess and had little time for the antics of Diana and Sarah. I think she felt Diana and Sarah were not worthy of their titles and may have been a little hurt because she couldn't marry her commoner love and yet these two were allowed in the family. We now know that Margaret could very well have married Townsend without the consequences.
I've read the book by Kitty Kelley and if you're a serious Royal follower, the book is full of errors and some down right lies. After I read the book, I wrote to Ms. Kelley about all the "errors" and the real versions, of course, I never received an answer.

I guess I sounded a bit too sure about the charity ball rumour. The book was written by Kitty Kelly, and as for the letters, I suppose I was a bit harsh about them. I can't say I would be singing the duo's praises if I were in Margaret's situation (or Anne's for that matter) I know I'm coming across as a real opinion cameleon, but the truth is that I'm really in two minds. I could never imagine writing a letter like that to anyone, but then, I've never been in those circumstances.
