Call me sentimental, but I love this British country girl outfit- (its sooooo much better than the Canadian cow girl outfit from rhis summer.) English casual works much better on Kate, she looks HOT IMO! : )

I liked the colour of Kate's Christmas Day outfit; it looked good with her colouring.

Personally I feel that a lot of the skirts she favours are too short.

Here it is, typical country outfit.
She looks quite good, for some reason I prefer her in casual wear to formal wear.

It's very Sloaney, particularly the hat. I don't like the coat but I'm sure it's very warm.

Yes, Kate excels in casual wear, IMO. She really capitalizes on her long, leggy look in skinny jeans and boots; she seems the epitome of a model advertising casual/sporty country wear. I like her Western hat but didn't care for the wellies for a walk in the park, although it may have been muddy in some places. I would like her suede boots with this coat.

I guess our definition of cheap is different, have a good day.

OMG! How weird am I! One of the reasons I like the look is because of the wellies! I truly am a freak. I think they make her legs look great.

I think anytime Kate wears boots, especially her suede ones that I like to refer to as her go-to boots, they look great on her. They extend the line of her legs so that they appear endless, it seems. I just thought in this context, the wellies didn't quite fit the suede coat and cowboy hat. But I definitely like to see her kicking her heels up in boots!

Is it just me or does it look like she has cut her hair?

I think her hair may be tucked under the coat collar. You can see a closer photo here:

Thanks for the picture, Baroness. I had already seen those and thought maybe her hair was tucked in her collar but then I would look again and think that maybe it was shorter. I guess it is just wishful thinking on my part because I think Catherine would look better if her hair was shoulder length. She would still have the option to put it up but when it was down, she would look more professional.

I will confess to a personal bias when it comes to women wearing the same hairstyle that they wore in college after they turn 30. I think a new style is called for at that point - but that is just me.

The British Royal Family is famous for never changing their hairstyle for decades. The Queen has had the same hairstyle since she was a kid! Camilla's hair hasn't changed since like the 70s. Even non royal AnnA Wintour hasn't changed her hair since she was a teenager or in her 20s. At least with Kate her hair is longer than the 3 previous women I spoke of. Also has Queen Beatrix had the same hairstyle for decades?

I love that girl in casual. It suits her much better than the official clothes IMO.
