Oh, now I do like that. I've always been a fan of fitted coats with a little interesting flare (and flair) in the design. And it's nice to see her in a rich color.

She's fortunate that she's got the coloring to wear orange and yellow shades, because they're hard for many people to get away with.

The color looked more red than orange to me, but yes, she can pull off colors like yellow. Her complexion permits it. I imagine if she were a bit lighter, the color won't suit.

Is that a coat or a coat dress? Hard to tell. It's pretty either way.

I second that. He looks great.

I agree. William looked great. My problem with Kate's look was that her hair covered a lot of the detail so the look was off. The white shirt was a better choice although I am not certain why she felt the need to change.

Her red dress/coat was a nice look just not for the event. With a tan hat it would have been a great choice for an arrival outfit/national day.

Not sure about the Los Angeles landing because the gathering looks off from the angle I am seeing. Maybe it would work better on a curvier person like the Alexander McQueen sailor dress would have.

Catherine today in what looks like an orange coat dress.
Love that color- sort of a tangerine/melon cross color
Love the style of the suit. Very classy and stylish!
And you cannot beat Catherine Walker!;)

Good photo of Catherine's blue/grey dress: Prince William & Kate: Los Angeles Landing!
I love the color- gentle on the eyes.
I love how the fabric seems very floaty.
I love how the design just flows.

Yuck - not a fan of the top half. Too asymmetrical for my taste and it looks like she's hiked one sleeve up over her shoulder. The color and bottom are okay though.

Don't like the pink shoes either - they look like something left over from the 80s. I wonder if they are the ones she will wear with the dress they were loading in the garment bag...it looked pink as well.

jemagre, I agree about the hair. It's really getting old, IMO. The pictures of her in the yellow dress with her hair blowing all over her face were awful. There is something called a rubberband/braid/hat/barrette/clip/etc...please look into it. I beg of you! This is so ridiculous: http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/07/08/article-2012370-0CE9EDBD00000578-795_306x639.jpg (and this, for a completely different reason...oops...poor Kate! http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/07/08/article-2012370-0CEA122400000578-902_196x538.jpg)

I'm glad she is wearing more colour I liked the orange coat/dress. Her hair needs something especially when it is so windy. I still find her a little boring and safe clothes wise. I like simple but there is a line when it becomes bland. I think she is keeping things safe and maybe over times she will be a little more adventurious. But so far a lot of her dresses seem to be in the same vein and most don't tend to flatter her figure. I can't wait till the BAFTA's I really want to see some glitz.

I think she changed into something more suitable for an evening event.

How stunning is the red outfit from Calgary! My favourite from the Canadian tour. She should've worn it on Canada Day. The Maple Leaf brooch shows up on it so well.

Red outfit from Calgary? Refresh my memory!

Peridot Dress

I really like this dress color and cut wise, its quite elegant but not too elegant which makes it not her age. I just wished she left the belt/tie like the original which would've added a touch of color to the dress.

Hmmm, I was just looking at the "original" and thinking how nice it was that Catherine didn't include the belt/tie thing....I thought it made the dress look strange and kind of sloppy. LOL

One of my favourites too!

Day after day hair all over her face , bleu or white dresses , same big smile...
a little bit boring .

With hair like that, I would walk around with it all over my face and smile alle day, too. :)

I like that she uses her gorgeous hair as a personal style element.

I'm amazed at people who complain about her wearing her hair down. Her hair is totally stunning, so healthy and rich. It has also become her trademark, her hair makes her instantly recognisable. I would hazard a guess that Prince William also likes it down.

In all honesty if I had her hair I would never wear it up, ever.

Love that outfit as well! Really stunning! BTW, I had seen this dress before, so sorry that you had to post again- it is just in some photos it looked orange- and in these it looks red- I was confused!

I think Catherine looked great in her cowboy attire, it totally works for her; but she shouldn't do it again. Because cowboy attire by law is uncool no matter what.
I just saw Kate in her cowgirl attire! Love it! Very hip and fun! Looks great!

This is definitely a favorite of mine as well. Elegant, classy and simple. Her hair is a great asset, and she should show it off, but sometimes, for variety, it would nice to see it in an updo. Not all the time (her hair is too gorgeous to keep in a pony tail/twist), but just once in a while.

I really do not care for the bear brooch at all.

Imo, they should have gotten rid of the bears and just kept the Northern Lights: a pretty star arrangement in a brooch or perhaps earrings would have been much nicer and more wearable.

It doesn't surprise me if Kate seemingly prefers the maple leaf.

The brooch/cufflinks have a bear in them because the Polar Bear is a symbol of the North West Territories and a pretty star arrangement is not? :whistling:

Arriving at the polo match. Love the shoes...hate the dress. I'm glad she went with something patterned but I don't like the pattern. It looks like some old curtains or something. And I would have liked to see a belt. What has she got against belts? I think several of her dresses would have looked more finished with a belt. PW looks great!

My problem with the hair is that it is always in her face. If she were just a normal person, sure, wear your hair down everyday, who cares. But as a person with such a public role, I think it's inappropriate to be constantly playing with (or fixing) your hair or attire. It's like when someone wears a strapless dress but spends the entire night pulling it up...just wear something different!

My preference for her hair is half up, half down. That way it's out of her face and people can see her (and she's not constantly messing with it), but it's also long and flowy and can still be her "trademark." Just my opinion...
