Agree. Oddly enough, the fascinator is now 'old'. It's passe. Hanging on to an old fad. Needs to be relinquished. Makes the wearer look ridiculous imo. Always has.

I don't believe that's true.
Visit any milliner's website, and fascinators are prominently displayed in the latest collections.

If they were truly passé, that wouldn't be the case.

Yes the Canada coat...loved it. Very elegant, great color/style on her.

It beautiful, I love the cut of the coat, the color and that cute pillbox. But I keep looking at photos and all I can think is "nurse in cap"
I can't unsee it.

It CRIES out for a brooch, centrally at the Duchess' throat...

Its very lovely and well-fitting coat and well matched with her hat and hairstyle. I wish she would have added a brooch but overall she looks very beautiful and elegant.

Lovely appearance and well put together but I am not sure about the pillbox hat. Glad she recycled this coat.

The hat is my favourite aspect of the outfit. HRH really looks lovely today

Elegant coat. Happy to see it again. Her hair looks wonderful :flowers:

Not a fan of the hat but nothing new.

The coat is really elegant. Just not a fan of the hat. It's too much air stewardess.

The good'ol Jackie look.
Classic and efficient .

I like this outfit but think some berry coloured shoes with a brooch that toned would have added a nice little dash of colour.

the coat is lovely and i am happy it got a second outing. it is also a perfect coat for easter service. i can tell that kate's hairdresser wasn't on hand this time - her hairdo didn't look at its usual standard, but looked flat and un-styled.

Nice elegant outfit but I must be honest - I do find it a bit bland.

While elegant, I have to admit I found Catherine's ensemble somewhat bland and her nod to Diana didn't do her any favours at all. Because she styles her updo at the nape it means her pillbox has to be placed really far back on the head. Too far IMO. I would love to have seen some colour because a gorgeous hat badly situated does not compensate for the cream "whiteout" effect which Catherine tried to fix with a somewhat heavy hand with the blush.

I'm not seeing the Diana nod you're talking about in that first pic, maybe I missed something...

A nice and elegant look on the Duchess and perfect for an Easter Sunday church service.

She's been doing the Jackie-O style for quite awhile now. It works very well on her. I am almost never reminded or even think of Diana's style of clothing when I see Kate out and about.

I didn't like the look. I don't particularly like that coat, but i think it was the hair the missing point. It simply didn't work with that hat.

I agree that the hat and hair were not well done and should have been a focal point

The hat and hair looked fine to me. Honestly, we can sometimes quibble with small elements of Catherine's outfits but she always looks event appropriate and her clothes always look immaculately tailored. Easter was no exception and pretty classic Catherine for big family events: dress appropriately, repeat often to avoid being the central focus, and don't overshadow the Queen.

I honestly believe she is held to a higher standard than many other royal ladies.
People do quibble over little things, whereas if someone else wore the identical outfit, these same people would say something like (Blank_ finally is learning how to dress!)

I really did like her hair and I thought her hat was nice as well..the whole outfit was very elegant/classy.
