For the events to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII, the Countess of Wessex wore two outfits and two hats. Both of her hats had been worn previously. The first hat HRH wore was to attend the service at Westminster Abbey to remember the war, and to attend the luncheon afterward for war vets at Buckingham Palace. The Countess had previously worn this hat in 2004 to Royal Ascot and to a military parade at Sandhurst.

The first hat worn by the Countess of Wessex to attend the events to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII

After the luncheon, HRH changed into another outfit and hat for the parade and balcony appearance. This hat had been previously worn to the trooping the colour in June of 2005.

The 2nd hat worn by Sophie for the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII commemorations (Sophie is to the far right in the picture)

Royals and their hats

Someone PM'd me a few days ago requesting a pic from rex because I have a rex account. this is Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Queen Elizabeth II in a car on the way to (or leaving?) Crathie Church, Balmoral.

I think this one just recently because The Queen often does attends Church Service at Crathie Church, Balmoral. The Countess of Wessex is recycling the hat that she wore at The Queen 's Trooping The Colour in June 2000 and The Queen Mother's 100th birthday's Thanksgiving Service in July 2000.Thanks lots Casiraghi,this is a cool picture.
 
I really love this hat and the outfit of The Countess of Wessex that she wore to The Royal Ascot in 2004 but she has not worn it again yet:

no. she had worn that dress a few days earlier for the dinner for the diplomatic corps. she wore the same tiara and hairstyle for that event as well.

i love sophie's style. a lot of her choices would still be appropriate in 10 years...they're classic.

That is the biggest flower I ever seen on a hat someone needs to cut that flower off that hat.
 
I love seeing the Countess of Wessex with her amazing hats..but I cant stand when they have big flowers or weird imitations of a cabagge :lol:

Nice shoes! I especially like the red ones...but the stockings are a little on the shiny side. Thanks Serving Sophie!
 
The Countess does seem to prefer to wear shiny, high gloss stockings. Don't most royal ladies? I imagine the more expensive the hosiery the shinier it is?
