Infanta Elena looked all right: a safe classical white-and-black combination and always fashionable Chanel bag (I hope I am correct). I am not keen on a white jacket. A jacket with longer sleeves would have been a much better choice in my personal opinion.

Cristina's latest fashion:
7/10 in Barcelona:
Averarge look in black. Like the brooch but I dislike the shoulder applications.

Spanish National Day:
Very dull and drab, the coat is not bad but together with the black stockings and matronly hairdo Cristina looks like a school mamsell

I usually am disappointed in I Elena's fashion, but she looks nice today. Do the shoes and purse match (it is hard to tell with the angle of the photo)? Her hair looks like a little girl- she needs better styling in that department, IMO.

Duke, I agree with the scchool uniform reference. The styling of this coat (top fitted, 3/4 sleeves) and full skirt coat reminds me of the green one that P Marie of Denmark wore last week. Is this a new trend? I hope not, it is not flattering at all to have so much heavy/thick fabric on the Princesses bottoms.....just an observation.

I liked the coat but it was ruined by the dark stockings and shoulder pads. I like the hair, its differently styled.

I´m not very fond of todays´outfit. I don´t like the coat at all...

I just don´t like the black stockings. The coat is nice.

This coat is gorgeous, but I agree,it should be longer than the dress. The shoes are lovely, too!I didn't like the hairstyle, too "cute"...

It's the type of coat I usually call "from World War II"....Total lack of style,I don't know...It's just wrong,so wrong...

The best I can say, is that I love the hairstyle- Outfit, not for me!

I liked her overcoat and the shoes are nice and simple.

I thought her outfit was the best of the 4 ladies. I really don't know what Letizia was thinking of...

Elena is not a classical beauty but looks stunning as the character she is, resisting the plastic surgery or facial procedure madness that makes a lot of women look like plastic dolls these days.
she is very very very elegant, it's a natural elegance , not sophisticated, but true ...i like so much her style
and i agree with you about her way to be

DOM you are quite right, Elena is not a classic beauty (nice way to phrase it by the way), but she looks wonderful at this event and the smile on her face is the icing on the cake. And of course the jewels are devine!

It has been a pleasure to see Infanta Elena in an elegant gala dress. I like simplicity and tailoring of the dress.

She indeed looked elegant and wonderful. I like the gown on her, I like the jewlry - only one thing: the hairdo is quite unflattering, but JMO.

The dress is pretty so is the color, I dont like the no make up look and the hair do which looks abit too high.

Elena looks really elegant and regal. The dress is really nice! I agree that her hairdo doesn't look great, though.
