Once again Queen Silvia is better dressed than her daughters imo.

^ Quite right, Sereta! ;) I loved both the fuchsia suit and the electric blue dress on Q.Silvia! She looked lovely!

I like that pink ensemble quite much. Elegant and sophisticated.
I'm not too sure about the blue dress. The design looks quite 'special' and I'm not that keen on the shimmering fabric. But not bad at all. :flowers:

On friday evening - 200years celebration Karolinka Institute - wear the queen an old dress. I saw it in October 1986 in concert, by visit in Thailand. Last time 10th February 2005 by Gala in Stockholm castle:

^ Q.Silvia has this dress from 1986?! Oh my, it still looks lovely though. Very feminine and quite romantic. Who knows, maybe the 80's glam is back! ;)

Stunning outfit, Silvia looks beautiful.

Yes, the queen looks beautiful in her outfit!

The jacket wear she on 28th September 2006 by Marcus-Wallenberg-award. The skirt by Mentor Gala 15th June 2007 on Mainau/Germany.

Nice combination of colors and a little glitter. I like it.

Queen Silvia looks lovely, I like this outfit.

This is very nice combination of the old (bolero jacket, skirt) and the new (top), although the material mix does not work perfectly – the velvet of the jacket, which has a very interesting shell-shaped cut, is a bit too heavy and cumbersome for the rest of the outfit, IMO.
I love the color scheme and the silhouette though.

And here is the skirt seen with its original top, giving it a completely different ‘Grecian’ look:

It's a nice outfit and Silvia looks as beautiful as always, but something seems mismatched here. Her hairstyle looks pretty and soft, btw.

A new Jacques Zehnder gown for Queen Silvia at The Water Prize in Stockholm: It’s a ‘cousin’ to the dress worn by her for the pre-wedding gala, though very different in detail.
I love the silhouette with the two long scarves/trains trailing from the back, but dislike the color combination:

Apart from the different colours, the way it sits on the shoulders is quite odd and outdated. Q.Silvia herself looks stunning, on the other hand.

Ummm interesting is the only word.

I don't like the lime green/yellow combo but the design of the dress is nice.

I don't care for the color combination myself but Queen Silvia always looks stunning no matter what she is wearing. :flowers:

It looks like a bow on a Christmas present. Not attractive for anyone IMO. Just plain aweful. The outfit is rather nice though.

The overall look is way too busy and mismatched. A red suit with that floral print, a black coat, purple bag etc.:ermm: Do I need to continue?

Queen Silvia attendded a conference initiated by Queen Paola and under the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union takes place on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18, a conference held in the Royal Palace in Brussels on the theme "Vulnerable children on the run, a challenge for Europe

The emerald dress is actually a three-piece: Bustier top, skirt and overcoat. Quite interesting tailoring, because it's basically cut like a female variation of a man's tailcoat:
Bustier buttoned vest, skirt instead of pants, and the overcoat with lapels buttoning at the waist doesn't go all around in the back, but divides in two flaps, also like a man's tailcoat.
Smart design idea, the actually very sharp tailoring softened by the swirls incorporated in the fabric (which happen to match the swirl motifs in the diamond clasp of the necklace).
