Q. Silvia looks elegant as usual. Her hair is styled nicely.

I like the way Silvia makes an effort to look nice but there are times when she wears something too frequently. I really like the lavender coat and I see nothing wrong with the jewelry. I think it matches her age and style quite well.

^^
Really? I don't find that she recycles too frequently, at least not any more often than the other royal ladies.

:previous: Although this jacket should have been 2 sizes smaller, the overall look is very elegant. I like white on Q.Silvia. When was that? :flowers:

The pics are from the arrival at the Crafoord Prize for geosciences ceremony two days ago in Stockholm.
Although the jacket is cut a bit too loose, I like how both jacket and skirt of the suit are embroidered overall with dripping sequins. Along with the satin shawl collar blouse, it results in a very nice ‘Snow Queen’ overall white look.
Two more pics, thanks to iceflower:

The Queen does look lovely in white!

I agree, I love Silvia in white. I think it looks great against her complexion. A very elegant outfit and I love the pearls.

Silivia looks really good in white. Makes her look tanner

This jacket is lovely. I like the texture of it and the pearls add a nice touch.

The outfit looks beautiful, it looks sort of in the first picture like Silvia has surburn around her eyes.

At the award ceremony of Stockholm’s St. Erik Medal of Honor last night, Queen Silvia wore a combination of midnight blue top with a layered collar in soft ruffles and long white skirt, which was first seen in 2004. The top has now been altered to a shorter arm length.

Well, that's a well done recycling, isn't it? I like the alterings and I thought that she looked really fab yesterday.

I like the top, but it contrast too much with the skirt.

I like the dramatic effect of this outfit. Very befitting of a Queen.

I love the re-creation. Better than the first time it was worn.

No one mentioned Silvia, but I think she looked amazing at the Banns. Her hair looks darker too. I like the jewelry.

She looks super chic IMO. The jewels are fantastic, I agree!

lol Of course it's a smile. Why? Doesn't the King ever smile?!

I don't want to get in trouble and derail the thread of the Queen's fashion, but it seems like most of the pictures I see of the King, he never smiles. I think he is just a serious person who doesn't like to smile much in public. I'm sure there are plenty of pics with him smiling, I just don't recall that many off the top of my head. It's just nice to see him with a smile...it looks good on him.

The darker hair (even if it's only visible in this picture) looks really good. Sometimes older ladies look a bit hard with dark colored hair, but this is definitely not the case with Queen Silvia. :flowers:
Very elegant outfit, I like the jewelry as well.

Many people have said the King is super nice (and also shy). I read something by someone who met the royal family and they said the King was the nicest one of all. I really take to him and to me he seems to be a sweet person. But he is king. Queen Elizabeth doesn't go around smiling all the time. Their job and position is very serious and very serious to them:flowers:.

Here are the three outfits worn by Queen Silvia at the three wedding receptions this week.
Day one, a mint green suit (first seen earlier this year in Brazil) with very sharp tailoring – cut so precise that it reminds me of Versace’s great suits from the mid-1990s:

Day two, a Jackie Kennedy style suit in Aubergine with short jacket (worn with pastel multi-colored pearls and a new brooch):

Day three, an old pastel favorite in Chanel style:

Overall Queen Silvia's ensembles tailored nicely. Additionally she does a good job of pulling off pastel colours. I liked the sea-green ensemble the most.

The mint green suit, apart from being extremely well-tailored, also has a very beautiful pattern. Did you notice it? ;)

All the outfits lately have been wonderful. Especially the mint green, devine, wonderful color and the tayloring is outstanding.

Do you know which dress the queen wear by Dinner at Drottningholm castle 17th June 2010?
