I have to say i liked Paola's hair when it was longer and sort of behind her hers rather than hairsprayed back.... It was different to what older people normally do to there hair.

This look is different. ;) All I can say is that I find it unique.

:previous:Precisely -if you had to use no more than a single word in order to describe Paola's ensemble. Since I own the freedom to use many words, I would say that this outfit looks modern, elegant and creative at the same time:D.
By the way: the jacket depicts at least a very unusual checker board due to additional diagonally waved patterns, which are only visible from the right angle: Picture details.
Like Shelo I'm not too convinced on the hat. Its floral lace-style isn't exactly in line with the outfit's otherwise clear geometrical cut and ornaments.
captainmooreway, I also preferred Paola's hair when it was longer and framed her cheeks and chin!

My impression is that this is rather a fussy outfit to wear, in particular the jacket, due to its fabric that imo not all women (especially elderly women, I'd dare to say) can easily wear; but beyond a doubt it suits Her Majesty. A risky choice, but a successful.

On the other side, I'm very disappointed by the hat; very particular too, another risky choice but this time a bad one.

Besides the jewellery it's been the identical outfit she's worn on
June 14 at the closing concert of the Queen Elisabeth competition.
You can find it here and here!

Isn't that strange and not very royal to wear the same outfit at almost the same event in just one month?

It doesn't depict a regal royal but it is kind of normal, in the sense of commoner normal, maybe ahe's trying to be economical.;)

This green suit is fantastic. I hadn't seen it before, so I don't mind it if she repeated it.;)

We have already seen the second outfit (view post #119 in this thread) as well as the jacket of the first one (worn at the Unicef meeting hosted by Queen Silvia of Sweden last December) but I like them both.
Those pleats on Paola's jacket with its fresh, pink silky edgings look a bit like a blossom -quite appealing, even more combined with that pink blouse which is nested prettily at the neckline. If the queen had only chosen different earrings...In spite of being really fond of them, Paola's fancy strawberries' colour clashes with pink.

All of her recent outfits are nice, but I favour the last one (navy blue and pink).

No extraordinary outfit but still a good viz. appropriate choice, i.m.o.. That vanilla-coloured silky top matches the queen's blond hair and likewise establishes a nice contrast with her black skirt/jacket-combination.

I like the patterns and colours of her coat. Albeit those patterns, on their part, are rather classic, they match Paola's ethno-style handbag. However, in order to complete that occasion-adequate look, she should have worn different clothes beneath her coat...

The outfit looks good. I only don't like the shoes.

Those many rows of pearl necklaces of different lengths do look beautiful (I always think: pearls & Paola = pure perfection;)) albeit their retro-style doesn't fully show to advantage while added to this rather modern jacket/trousers combo (which, on its part, exhibits a well chosen cut and has several pretty silk details).

The queen looked very stilish. But I would loved to see a bit more colour.

The simple pearls are to my liking as well! Nothing stresses a woman's beauty more than these jewels. :)

Sorry, but I haven't found a better picture so far -would've liked an additional close-up to behold Paola's gold jewelry...
Although we've seen at least that long, velvety jacket of the queen's outfit many a time, it's after my fancy. I also love the brown, silky trousers (in particular due to their soft, wavy hem). Darker warm colours really suit Paola's vanilla complexion as well as her blond hair, i.m.o..

I like the brown velvet outfit too, particularly the coat. The bag is not my cup of tea though.

She looks very elegant in brown.
Sure she wore it before but not sure exactly when.

By now, I'm inclined to say that she's wearing again one of her favourite winter outfits :).
The fur jacket's style is simple but quite charming as well as Paola's long buckskin boots, albeit I never understood the virtue of combining gray tones with brown tones... However, the queen does -as usual- look good in flat shoes i.m.o. (which people with not so advantageous proportions viz. shorter legs don't).

She has worn this grey suit before on 10/02/2010
