:previous: Agree. Soooo Margrethe and you don't have any comment to do :)

As others have said, this outfit is very "Margrethe" so she manages to pull it off. Having said that I still think the hat is... interesting... though!

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik of Denmark arrived at Jakarta airport this afternoon (October 21, 2015) for the start of a four day Indonesian visit.

Love this outfit. Only Queen Margethe could pull it off... ;): :D
Love this picture- the lively outfit- and Margethe's big grin- it fills the room.
What shall the evening bring us?
Side note- I love the pink coat the first time she wore the outfit.

Hey! Aren't anyone here in the fashion threads going to focus on PH?

He outshine... eeh, outclass... ehh, he outdressed anyone else present.

yes. Henrik was the true "winner" of the night. Teaching the ladies a thing or two on fashion : D

:previous: Well, you two know how to fix that! So you better nip over to the appropriate thread so we can all wax lyrical on the appropriate thread:

http://www.theroyalforums.com/forum...le-of-royal-men-part-1-april-2003-a-1213.html

All the men of the Danish royal family, not excluding the kids, could at least keep this thread simmering. (Wow, those apples really didn't fall to far from the tree) :D

But enough about that! Wow, but doesn't Prince Henrik look magnificent. And so totally relaxed! :flowers:

Queen is so elegant. And i love this black pearls.

Her Majesty looks very regal and queenly tonight at the New Years Gala banquet.

I often look forward to the New Year's Courts so that I can see the Danish Queen and princesses in their finery. I adore Margrethe's outfit!

Very beautiful appearance though not impressed.

HM looks lovely in her blue ball gown! Very feminine look for her.

HM looking regal again and wearing those antique pearls with rubies. They date from around the 1600s. Not the tiara which is quite new from 1815 I think.

HM does indeed look very regal and elegant. This is a nice soft color for her. I don't recall her wearing much blue in the past.

As usual, Queen Margrethe looks regal and stately in all her finery. I do like the colour of this dress, although it's quite a light, spring/summer colour rather than a deeper colour she has worn to this event in the past.

Is this a new dress for her? I like it she looks very nice1

There is something I have been wondering about for a couple of years now. Comes up about this time every year. Does anyone know what kind of fur Queen Margrethe wears? I am used to seeing pictures of furs more like the mink coat QEII wore to the early service on Christmas Day. QM's seems to be much "shaggier" for want of a better term.

Well... "quite new"... it is a diadem of 200 years old and still in original state... That is rare in royal collections as bijoux were often broken up to follow changing fashions.

This diadem is one of two almost identical ones which were made for two sisters-in-law. One made for Princess Louise of the Netherlands born Princess of Prussia (now in the Danish collection via inheritances). And one made for Princess Marianne of Prussia born Princess of the Netherlands (most likely it ended via inheritances in the collection of the princely family Reuß zu Köstritz.
