Maxima has majority let down us on this state visit evening style - 2 recycled dresses and neither particularly special or worthy of a reuse on this occasion

The winner of this fashion and Jewels face off is Queen Mathilde.
For her first State Visit in her Country HM of the Queen of the Netherlands could have wear more appropriate Evening dresses and certainly when she wears the Sash of the Highest Order of the Invited Country .

I think Max knows how and when to turn it out I think she chose to let her guest shine more so than herself. I think they are also great friends.

What a lovely look! Thats a great style for Maxima and a lovely color. I like her hairstyle. Is that a tiara turned into a necklace?

Lovely color, great hair, jewels and bag are just the right finishing touches (and I always like seeing the royal ladies in red!)

That's a great look for her and a very flattering colour indeed

The jewels are wonderful too.

Max looks splendid! I like Daniela Schadt but her wrinkly clothes (same with the coat she wore in Spain) are horrible.

Absolutely stunning and I love the way Max is using the ruby tiara as a necklace. When she hits a home run it's out-of-the-park (as we say here in America)!

Her lovely purple dress isn't wrinkled-it's a technique known as ruching.

Maxima looks evey inch a Queen in this gorgeous red caftan and the use of the full version of the Ruby Parure Necklace and earrings is an inspired choice.

There was every chance the red of the gown would swamp the necklace but with something as awesome as those rubies, it merely increased the beauty and definition.

Can't go without noting how beautifully styled her hair is and that even though it is worn down, it is styled to highlight her ruby earrings.

I am absolutely in love with this whole look.

The gown is beautiful. The color is amazing and style great.

Love her earrings and seeing the necklace brought out. She never fails in jewelry.

I usually prefer her updos. Her loose heir often looks stringy. But it looks amazing here. The soft curls are lovely. I loved her curls at the wedding this weekend a lot, but this look is fantastic too.

.

Máxima looked wonderful yesterday evening, according to the dailymail it's a "£3,600 Valentino kaftan".

A couple of jewellery posts have been moved to the correct thread, double posts have been deleted.
