Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice make their way to the red carpet at Roy Thomson Hall for the gala premiere of "The Young Victoria" which closes out the Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada (19/09/2009).:)

Both are gorgeous. I prefer Eugenie dress but Beatrice's whole look is fantastic, girlish but very elegant (I love her hair and simple shoes).

Don't care for Beatrice dress, would rather she chose something other than black.
Eugenies i like, but the girl is looking very pale, and thin. :ermm:

The Princesses look fabulous! Princess Beatrice is so like the Duchess- lots of black and short skirts and dresses.

Thank yuo for posting the pictures here, queenofthelight! :flowers:

I think both Beatrice and Eugenie looked lovely.
Eugenie is really a very pretty girl: right outfit and correctly applied makeup (or perhaps absence of it) would do wonders. I loved Beatrice's hairstyle.

I think the dress Eugenie is wearing is more suitable for an older woman, pretty but a bit too serious for a girl her age.

I liked their shoes very much,as well as Eugenie's dress. But not on Eugenie.Sorry,JMHO.

These clothes make her look fat and combining them with those sneakers isn't that brilliant either....

I think she looks beautiful, exactly as a student should. :)

And what's Eugenie suppose to wear to school? If you're in class for several hours a day you owe yourself some comfortable clothes that you can breathe in. The last thing a university student has in mind is how they look in clothes.

Forget the shoes comment.

I am slightly offended by the "fat" comment. While Eugenie certainly pushes the envelope in regards to her clothes and what is appropriate for her figure, I would hardly call her fat.

And considering that many girls have negative body images and strive to attain what they consider to be an average size (which ranges from size 0 to 6 and are hardly average) and do whatever is necessary to obtain such a size (i.e. bulimia, etc), I commend Eugenie for being true to herself.

Now if she could improve her dress sense well then thats another topic for another day. But I agree with 4Pam, she is attending classes, surely she is not supposed to look like she is going to a fashion show or party.

Well, Melina B. didn't say that she is fat, only that she chooses clothes that make her look fat and thats my opinion as well. I can see in the picture that she has thinner legs than the girl beside her, but her clothes are quite unflattering IMO. However, the sneakers are cute for a student girl. :flowers:

Fat like beauty seems to be in the eye of the beholder.....
As MelinaB said it made her look fat and you, Zonk, immediately thought she had said the Princess was fat, it really gave you away.
She has the very large bust line that many of the Windsor women have, she should be a little more careful with her undergarments and clothes to put everything into proportion so that she doesn´t LOOK fat. There are many pictures which show her looking perfectly in proportion, no one wants a skin and bones supermodel look for her, just more suitable clothing for a young girl with a big bust.

Okay, I'm not getting into the weight discussion about Eugenie. I'm so-so about the first day outfit... but why did she add the sneakers? Ballet flats or something would look better I think, but she seems to be channelling Ellen deGeneres. Her friend's outfit is sort of similar, but she's got cute little boots.

Honestly, I think she added the shoes because it appears to be the style for young ladies.

When dropping my neice off to school, I see young girls wearing dresses and those type of sneakers.

I would have worn ballet flats but apparently those are no longer in style. Also, I am not familiar with her univ....but perhaps the sneakers would more comfortable walking around campus.

I saw a TV show the other day advocating ballet flats. But I like her friend's little boots better and they looked comfortable too. Now, if Eugenie had been wearing jeans and a little top, I wouldn't mind the black sneakers.

:previous:

These sort of sneakers ("Chucks") are very hip among young girls and woman since a few years, I would say especially girls in their late teens like them. I have worn them as well. :) In red :whistling: Many girls wear them to skirts, its a bit of an "alternative-look". But today I would prefer ballerinas as well.

I know I know...but that's whats up happens when you change boxes (I am speaking the age boxes).

Things that I would wear my neice wouldn't dare wear because it looks "old."

Yes, Chucks that's what they are called. For my age group (and I won't share it) we didn't do the chucks thing. But my father did. Its amazing how fashion pops up every twenty to thirty years!

I dont think I have ever seen Eugenie in jeans. She doesn't do the polo thing like her sister or cousins. But even they haven't been known to wear jeans to polo. I assume that is not acceptable to wear to a polo match?

Chucks are very comfortable when you're doing alot of walking. I've not seen Eugenie in jeans or polo shirts either.... Maybe she doesn't like them?? She does have a different style from her sis and cousins. It's what I call "punk rock."

I've been wearing chucks since jr high school lol have them in every color

Especially the outfit of Princess Beatrice is utterly ridiculous; both look like they're ready to join a circus.

If different is another word for unflattering then I like it too. It's always the same with them. Eugenie's "dress" has a nice colour and design but something is missing. I asked myself when I first saw it: where are the trousers? It looks just like a top.

"Juicy" girls should never forget their pants back home...

I think I like Eugenies better... The colors are nice and but I also like the polka dots on Beatrices

:nonono::nonono::nonono: This shouldn't be called fashion, it looks like fancy dress party!
