Does anyone know her clothing allowance? I know Victoria's must be larger, as the CP and with all of her royal duties, but I agree with the other posters who noted that Madeleine's wardrobe is recycled a bit more frequently than it probably should be. I'm glad she's getting use out of her nicer outfits, though. They must be very expensive!

The first picture is from her graduation party in 2001. :) I guess it was in the evening and she took the scarf for later. And if you look at Louise does that gown remind anyone of something? Madeleine wore it a few weeks later for the norwegian government's dinner for Haakon and Mette. :) I have to say: I love that gown. She looked fantastic in Norway. Specially her hair style. :)

Socal Girl,
Thanks for reposting some of these! I found it so interesting. However, is it just me or do ALL her strapless dresses look the same? It almost looks like she said, make this pattern in five different colors!!!
I think she is SUCH a pretty girl. But I think she needs more clothes! Maybe she should sell her SUV!

I think some fashion critics would call Madeleine a Repeat Offender! I think Madeleine is very smart in repeating often because she does not do that many official duties so it isn't right that she has a new outfit everytime she does do one. However, some of her gala dresses have got to stay in her closet for a couple of years before we ever see them again!!! The blue and white dress (very pretty but over-recycled) and the pink dress (lovely but also over-recycled) have gotten 3+ appearances at galas and it's time we give them a break. I think the problem with Madeleine and recycling is that she usually uses the same exact jewelry with the outfit so it looks exactly the same as before. I think if she changed up some of her accessories, the whole recylcing process would be better. :)

Thanks for pointing that out Ms. Griffin! I didn't notice that. It's cute that Lussan and Madeleine swap clothes. She did indeed look lovely at Haakon and MM's pre-wedding bash. I wondered why she never repeated that dress for something else....turns out it's not even hers! :p

Since I've been going through old picture and current events threads, I must say Madeleine looked gorgeous during 2002-2003. Starting from 2004 she started obsessively tanning . Thank goodness she's stopped tanning so much . She's still very pretty though...

I think Madeline wore alot the white laced gala gown so often (last time in King's 60th birthday).
http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...chmentid=94091 This tiara looks good on Madeline. (The crown princess wore that "ugly" tiara (sorry) while her younger sister wore such beautiful tiara :o)

I, too have noticed Madeleine wearing things more than once like a NORMAL human. I'm pleased to see someone recycling these overpriced gowns! Think of the money she is saving that could be used for better things- like donations to My Big Day??
Besides, she chose them because she loved them, right? Why not wear them a few times? I wonder why I didn't recycle any of my prom dresses!
