It's interesting that you chose these three since they all have the same bodice. It is very flattering on her.
Whilst I love the colour the stlye accentuates how slim she, making her almost fade away and it makes the dresses look somehow abbreviated. Not at all Gala GOWN Wear!

Stacked against this fabulous gown Letitzia's later gowns look positively home-made!

I have always Thought that this dress, in white would have made a perfect wedding dress (GOWN for Letizia...no?
That dress certainly had the "Wow" factor and while I am not sure how it would have looked in white, I am sure it would have looked regal, as indeed it does in red.

I was going through some older pictures of PLetizia and she had some lovely gowns and daytime wear. I really miss that!! Love the silver gown with all the diamonds, very glamourous!!

I notice that with her red dress Princess Letizia was wearing jewellery that I have always loved, double clips, they are very art deco, on a square neckline they look fabulous (and lapels too). They are usually provided with a pin so that they can also be made into a large brooch so they are very versatile.
She looked stunning in this outfit.

That outfit definitely disappointed me!I believe it would be more appropriate for an older woman. But I really liked her hair and the tiara.

Was Carile the designer of the red dress? If so, that designer should do all of her gala outfits.

Yes, Caprile was the designer. He used to design many Letizia´s gala gowns, I don´t know why she doesn´t wear his gowns now, they usually were more beautiful than all those Varela´s gowns she likes.

A red sole doesn't make a shoe a Louboutin and I don't think that Letizia's shoes are. Like others before Spanish designers will have picked up a trend and here we go. These shoes do not resemble Louboutin's style in any way.

Louboutin's current collection includes lots of platform heels.
And many of these have a platform that is much higher then the one of Letizia's shoes.
Like this pair , this pair,or these weird Mary Janes, for example.

Even looking at the platforms in the collection, his shoes are still delicate, the heels stilletoes rather than tree trunk and those shoes Letizia is wearing look about as light and comfortable as army boots!

I could be wrong of course and it is just the result of the "serviceable" heavy black tights. They look just like the ones we used to wear with our winter school uniform.

Thanks for the info! These pairs are completely hideous, but Letizia's look even worse.Perhaps they are from an old collection.

I like the dress that she is wearing, but the stockings are too dark and thick. Perhaps the shoes would have looked nicer if she was wearing nude stockings. The shade of black on the top part looks lighter than the stockings, and it ruins this look (IMO).
