Thank you, Emmily. I was just looking at another blog with several pics of the event and she was mostly serious-looking in them, as well. However, there were a few where she was smiling and talking to Felipe, albeit a small smile!

Agree with the posters here about the outfit; it's nice and I'm glad to see her in a dress for daytime, but it could have been a better color. She looks too pale and wan. And I didn't care for the double rows of pockets on the jacket; just one set (preferably the bottom) would have been enough, if any at all. I truly dislike those style of housedress-type pockets!

The dress and the jacket are beautiful and the colour is perfect, summery and nice. I don't think that the colour washes her out in anyway.

The Prince of Viana Awards has always been a more solemn event that includes paying a tribute to the Kings of Navarre.

I like the color of the outfit (don't know which color would have been better with this style) except she has worn a few beige suits the last few days. The raw edges are very nice.

I love the style of the suit, ok, the mono colour of dress & jacket is a bit bland but still Letizia is dressed a million times better than her usual ill fitted pants, children's cardiagans or cheap blouses. This outfit is one of the few in recent times that hits the bar in terms of suitability.

I think a few colour touches would have been fantastic, but I agree that the raw edges gives the combo a nice pizzaz. She looks tired though.

It´s a very nice combo, but I agree that the colour isn´t the best on her. She has worn some beige suits during the last days that looked better on her, this beige washed her out, and the monochromatic look doesn´t help either.
Anyway, the outfit is very nice and she looks quite beautiful, so I forgive the colour.

This top was such a lovely design, and I love its shade with the white. However, I think the outfit would have looked better without the jacket.

June 6, 2012 - Letizia in a new tweed dress with a matching jacket. Lovely outfit though not fond of the color too much. Wrong shoes with the look, she should've worn closed heels.

I pretty much agree. I really like this look for Letizia - very elegant, sophisticated and regal. However the open-toe shoes were a miss and I feel that this shade of color washed her out a little.

Looking at those two outfits, the white pants suit or the cream tweed outfit, I would say that Letizia is definitely better in the cool shades like white or the vivid shades like the bright red that suits her so well. The cream does not make her coloring 'pop' like the white does. She is a very pretty woman so almost always looks good but some colors are better than others.

Letizia looks great in red, best colour for her. The upper part 2 photo looks strange, flat chest and then all of a sudden a bust that sticks out.
