I don't mind the flats. Imo it's a nice change to see Letizia wearing flats once in a while.
Not sure about the rest of the outfit. I never really liked the jacket.

Nice close-up of the ballerinas

The outfit colors really look good on her. Not a fan of the jacket matched with the look she was going for, totally does not work with a ruffled/feminine top underneth.

She had recycled this jacket so many times the last 2 years. The jacket looks so worn out now, it's about time to throw it away or don't wear it to any official event. I like the pants.

Close-up

I don't know... the whole outfit looks missmatched to me. A casual grey dress and an elegant satin blazer and a casual scarf... the scarf doesn't match at all and Letizia wore it quite careless.
Not a good outfit choice for a business event, imo.

I thought it was a skirt.
But I do agree with you that it was not appropiate for the event. Although she would have looked better without the scarf.

This outfit is a miss around the world
Why on earth she wears that scarf with that outfit, and the jacket so missmatched. I don't like anything about this outfit She is such a beautiful woman i am sure she could do better

Only the fabrics looks a mismatch, many women in my company own a black jacket + grey dress (or skirt) set. I think she should wear the other grey dress (more formal) she wore in Oviedo during the PoA awards last year.

Yes, a black jacket and a grey dress do match. But I don't think it matches here. It's not the colours that look missmatching, but the different styles. The jacket could look really elegant while the dress is very casual. The fabrics don't look well together either.
I agree about the other grey dress. (without the scarf) the more formal grey dress could have looked much better and elegant.

I have to agree. There's something really off about this outfit. I do love the scarf, it is beautiful. I do hope to see it again, just not with this outfit. Hopefully, we won't see this jacket with this dress again.

I love the dress and ever the dress with the scarf would possible look okay.

But the jacket just knocks the outfit out of place.

Royalist is right. Horrible outfit and scarf - remind me please, haven't we seen this dress again recently? Anyway, I think her hair and make-up look really good here.

The Huffington Post seems to love everything Letizia wears. I am surprised they even have an own section just for Letizia. "Princess Letizia - some news is so big it needs its own page".

It's not so horrible as things she had worn before, however the scarf is a little bit too much, specially with the embrodery of the dress

I don't think it is a disaster.
The problem is that it is not really appropiate for the event she was attending
