Letizia looked nice except for her shoes I wish she'd get rid of those stupid platforms. They look so clunky and awkward.:bang:

I suspected that, although I can't figure out from which collection. Any ideas?

Fall 2008 collectin but such styles seem to be a classic piece since then.

I find it interesting that when asked why Letizia doesnt wear international brands sometimes its said because she gets criticize for not promiting Spanish
designers but yet here she can throw out a few hundreds on a Burberry clutch, not to forget she has a Burberry bag and trench coat.

IMO, it wont hurt if Letizia spends half her fashion budget on spanish designers and the other half on international designers.

I like the Burberry stuff and it's nice to see something classy on Letizia. Yes it's expensive but nowhere near Valentino etc what her MIL or other CPs are wearing (especially Maxima and MM come to my mind). Burberry is affordable by any business woman with an upmarket salary, therefore in London its worn by lots of people.

I think the SRF has a connection with Burberry (not sure but I believe its via Jaime de Marichalar) likely to receive a discount since even Leonor and Sofia are wearing Burberry what I personally find more to critizise in terms of "wasting" money on designerware, I'd rather see an expensive clutch that can last for years than kids in designer clothes for one or two prestiguous outings, never got the point of that.

Thank you both Pdas1201 and Dazz!:flowers: I find this particular design classic too.

Well, I'm a bit surprised: I didn't know it was a CP's business to promote designers of her country, but it sounds nice.

I love this outfit but something new every now and again would be nice. :)

The lavender outfit is beautiful, especially the dress, and her hair looks much better today!

I can't understand why does she like all these 'clogs' and keeps buying them in multiple colours.... I hadn't noticed before registering on TRF how awful her shoes are and now I'm very disappointed. She has such good taste in clothes, why not upgrading her footwear?

I really do like this lavender outfit on her.

NoorMeansLight, I agree about her shoes. Nine times out of ten she has on some dreadful ones.

She really is a beautiful woman. You can see it in her eyes and in her skin. She takes care of herself and often chooses great dresses. Her choices in colors is sometimes daunting and drawing of one's attention. Truly she's in a stature of her own and she proves herself well in how she clothes. I wish I could say that of myself. Even though I'm a guy.

Not too keen on the buttons ornamenting the skirt of the dress but I like the color on her.

Did she favor platform shoes before she took up with the Prince of the Asturias, or is that just an effort to neutralize his height? I don't remember.

Her flat shoes are perfect today and i love the colour of the jumper

I love the trench coat and the ballerinas shoes from today!! The scarf is also nice, but I´m not very fond of the rest of the outfit. Too simple, IMO.

This outfit is really simple and good for this visit!Love to see her with flat shoes! Not fond of Letizia in trousers because she's too thin. Like her purple sweater!

Is it a burberry trench???

Yes I think its Burberry. I love the look with the trench, trousers, flat shoes, as soon as she leaves it the outfit looks very, very simple, like a student and not like the royal who is visiting. Not a fan of these huge colourful scarfs, it looks messy together with the messy hair that needs an urget cut.

Seeing Letizia wearing ballerinas makes me quite jealous (I'd love to change my snow boots against ballerinas already ).
She looks lovely with flat shoes.
I like the scarf and the colour of the top.

I agree with DoM that she looks like a student... the whole look is very casual.

Todays outfit was under dressed in a way.
The top and the scarf looked amazing together but it was too casual for the grey suit pants.

I think the opposite way ... The trousers make her look remarkable and don't make her legs look thin IMO. They have a nice color and match the shoes that are just fabulous!

Lovely look, adore the top. :flowers:

The trench coat and the flats are both lovely! The Burberry bag still looks nice, although too old.

I like very much the trench, the scarf and the shoes. The top with the scarf match very good.
But yes, the outfit is too casual.

I actually liked this outfit. I like seeing her in flats, I hate those hideous pumps that everyone seem to praise ( IMO she does it 'cause her husband and inlaws are too tall and she doesn't like feeling petite).

The outfit is casual and I think it fits the ocassion, she was visiting a school, the ambiance is more relaxed than let's say if she meets a prime minister or a president. It is the first time in a while, I'm pleased with her

She looks a little "slouchy" in this outfit with the too big trench and the pants are a little baggy. The color of the sweather is very nice, but she desperately needs a hair cut. Personally, I think she should cut at least a couple of inches off so that it will give it a little more bounce.

Although I don't care for the lavendar suit personally - I think it makes her look older and more matronly, I think the color is really beautiful on her. I wish her shoes didn't have that platform on them. It ruins an otherwise beautiful pair of shoes.

No it is not a Burberry coat it is a Mango 35€ coat! I have the same it is from this winter collection! It is a bit shinny and particular not a winter coat, it is not warm at all!:flowers:

Nice look, the ballerinas are lovely, so is the trenchcoat and the sweater has a wonderful colour. I only dislike the scarf, it looks too messy to me but I like its colours, though. :)

I had the feeling that it was a mango coat because I used to have one which was very similar to this one! thanks:flowers:
