I love this outfit! it's modern and it suits her very well! Letizia is still a young woman so she completely can wear those mini dress!

The boots are great, the dress is ok! the print is not my favourite but it's ok with those tights and boots!

I couldn't agree more with dazzling. Animal prints always risk to look tacky, and so does this snake skin; besides, the dress is indeed too short and casual.
As a matter of fact, Letizia can't very well afford the kind of mini dresses she has been wearing recently, because she doesn't have good legs; they're very thin especially upwards - toothpick-like.

Along with the boots, she is getting dangerously close to a kind of Princess Beatrice dressing, which is never a good idea and definitely not for a 37-year-old wife to the heir of the Spanish throne.

I love everything, the dress is very nice though a bit too casual, but it looks great with the dark tights and boots. The coat is just amazing, love it. A great overall look, IMO.

Nice coat indeed, although it looks a bit too big. I'm no fan of snake prints either, for similar reasons as they have been mentioned before. Anyway, I find this dress okay, just a bit too short. Not sure if I like the boots together with the dress... The problem I have is just that most of the recent outfits of Letizia don't look like a Crown Princess should look like, JMO of course. For sure she's still young, thin and beautiful, but I'd wish for more elegance instead of those sometimes kinda childish outfits.

As I said again. Is age 37 old for you?? Do you have problem with it that Letiza is a young and modern woman. Or could it be that you are maybe a little bit jalous that you are not able to wear what Letizia wears.

Letizia is the best PR Spain has a time. I just don´t understand why she is getting so bad comments here.
We live in the 21st Century. And also Monarchy is changing - which included clothing too.
There had been a reason why she had been voted recently by a fashion magazine to one of the best dressed woman. These are fashion specialist and they knew what they are doing with this choice. They did it right.

I love the way she is dressed - and in my eyes she is dressed right to every occassion or event she is attending.

If monarchy is changing in that way, I don't know what to say.....

See, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark most of the time in my opinion is as elegant as it gets and I'm sure nobody would say she looks old fashioned. For me she's the epitome of what a modern Crown Princess should look like!!

I'm pretty sure no Lady here is jealous of Princess Letizia, except we have Ladies here who are mad about to reach Size Zero. Few years ago Letizia had a good style but in the last months she looks like ridiculous. And no, 37 is not old, this look just doesn't suit her.....

If Letizia is really the best PR for Spain.... then all I can say is that Spain is really a poor country!!!!
IMO the reasom why she is always voted a "best dressed" or so, is, that that magazines judge the outfit with the style of celebrities in their mind.
But Letizia is the wife of the heir to the spanish throne, the next Queen, but not a Hollywood-starlet!
That dress (is it even a dress or a long blouse?) is way too short, most of her outfits in the last weeks are inappropiate for a woman in her position.

In general a good idea for an outfit, the boots and stockings are quite stylish but the dress is all wrong. I don't mind the print but it's not only too short and too casual but also a flimpsy summer dress (have a guess, Mango, 49.95 Euro?), a quality winter costume would have looked so much better. The coat is nice but too big, strange, as Letizia has worn similar well fitted coats in the past, where have they gone?

Dressing like a barbie doll doesn't help being taken seriously unless the aim is to get on various best dressed lists as "fashion icon" since the role as future consort doesn't offer too much substance.

I am getting surprised, no, shocked by each new outfit I see her wear. I am not able to understand the reason for a princess, who was previously a tv reporter, to dress in this manner. As a tv reporter, I loved her clothes, she wore tailored pant suits and skirts. After her marriage, she continued wearing similar type of clothes, nice round heels, tailored tops, separates. Just this past year, I have noticed her fashion sense has dropped, IMO. She is either sloppily dressed or wearing clothes not suitable for her age or position.

Also, living in the 21st century doesn't mean that we have to dress like futuristic drama's female character. Modernism can be achieved in many other ways. I wouldn't have had any problem with her dress, had she worn it at a private setting. It is a casual dress intended for a casual environment and not an official engagement. Why don't we see Felipe in polo t-shirts and khakis? I always see him impeccably dressed in a suit and tie, no matter what the occasion.

I'm sorry but how can you compare Princess Beatrice, 22 on a night out with her boyfriend to CROWN princess Letizia, 37 on an official engagement. Ridiculous.

I like the boots and the coat, the dress is ok but I don'like it on a public event. Too short, IMO!

Apart from the skirt being too short for an official event I think the combo with the black stockings and shoes is not bad but the tacky sequined cardi doesn't work with it at all.
http://picture.belga.be/belgapicture...v/16884065.jpg

All in all she looks like a badly dressed barbie doll.
OMG she look like she is wearing her daugthres clothes, what she is thinking to go out there in sush look?absolutely ridiculous and inappropriate for a woman in her position.I know she is young and we are in 21th century...but come on guys this a way far and has no relation with modernity,I agree with whom said"Modernism can be achieved in many other ways",the high of skirt isn't one of these ways IMO.

^^^ I like the mini dresses Letizia has been wearing. They're in and she has the body for it. The outfit looks good on her. It's a well balanced outfit. I see nothing wrong with the mini at all.

Just be thankful that she's wearing tights with these dresses unlike Hollywood celebrities.

State Visit from Vietnam, Dec 13th
Lunch

Very stylish outfit, I like the coat. The scarf could have been in a brighter colour, it seems to be very cold in Madrid (First Lady from Vietnam also with a scarf, she must be freezing in this climate)
