Oh Good Grief! Mary's stylist could make so much money in the Netherlands!

The most shocking outfit I think i've seen her in.
Short above the knee skirt, some form of flowery thing round her neck and a plate on her head.
That outfit gave me a good laugh. The hat is just silly, so is the neckband or whatever we want to call it.

I just saw Mabel's outfit... Jesus, now I think they did this on purpose, as a joke or something.

I think women posed like this in the sixties (feet) .

Re the white suite, the material was pulling on her upper arms, sleeves too narrow, this together with the colour white made them look gigantic.

Re her general appearance imo, she should go more for simple lines and quality. Her hairdo and clothes are very as the dutch call "burgerlijk" (the opposite of a princess) on the cheap side even. Her eyebrows were heavy but this very plucked look is not an improvement. Hopeless I am afraid. Her biggest quality is her general niceness of character and intelligence.

2004 is the only one of those outfits I like. And in one of the other threads, I said that thing on Laurentien's head this year looked like a doily had been glued there.....but a plate works too.

I'd ask what they're thinking, but it's evident the answer is "nothing".

2004 is the only one I like also, and I like it very much. Has she ever heard the word Elegant?

I don't like any of the outfits I'm afraid. I'm sorry to say this, IMO Laurentien has no fashion sense.

this looks like a bathrobe to me and white shoes unless you are Queen Elizabeth, 10 years old or the bride .

Re the pictures of Laurentine through the years, she looked imo her best in 2003 and 2004, I liked her hair then. If your hair does not look good it does influence your whole appearance.

It looks like a robe over pajamas. Not a good outfit for her.

I couldn't agree more. Very odd and unflattering IMO.

Laurentien's style is (IMHO) rather busy. So is Maxima's on many occasions, but no where as many as Laurentien's.

St. Patricks day was in March... a little late for an all green outfit. It's not a good look for her at all.

This outfit looks very very mismatched.

Looks like a tea towel.

Oh bless her, I do love Laurentien's outfits because they're uniquely hers and if you saw her a mile away from the back you'd know who it is! She's quite the eccentric and at the very least she's not a boring dresser! It's incredible the wonderful things you can make from simple materials! Bring on more amazing, strange and outrageous clothes Laurentien!!!

Laurentien certainly has a bold personality without question, but there are ways to be bold and not cause eye irritation at the same time. I applaud her for going for bright colors and interesting styles....but bless her heart (as we say in the South) she just keeps missing the boat when it comes to looking elegant.
