I thought on both occasions she looked lovely I agree the pants were a bit long but I like her style and the greens soft and sweet look lovely on her. The Oscar gown looked pale pale green on my screen.

Her outfit is quite disappointing and boring. The high neck doesn't suit her nor does it look good with the look. High necks also don't require long earrings.

ok, the Oscars is THE event to shine when you are into glamour (and Monaco is, isnt it?). Charlene has the potential to knock everyone off but what happened?
Charlene's choice is very disappointing for me. Not liking the helmet hair, the dress is boring and odd, neither fish nor flesh, the turtleneck doesnt work. The choice of jewellery is odd, too, the earrings are nice but not with the dress.
Sorry, for this occasion and keeping in mind what could have been, what a fail! The Oscar's isnt the one of the usual occasions where Charlene can easily pull off the best look, here she is up against people like Jolie etc and she couldnt keep up at all.

I like the dress, just would have liked it in a colour.

The dress is ok but we all know that Charlene can do and has done better in the past.
At such an event everyone was expecting something special, stunning, breathtaking.
I guess it's the disappointment speaking that Charlene didn't pull it off this time like she used to at some events.
Where else do you wear an outfit that everyone is speechless about. And I'm not talking about J.Lo's outfit

Oh dear. The hair is pretty awful, the dress is boring. Once again Charlene just looks unhappy and uncomfortable.
Does she have some kind of commercial relationship with Akris? I thought Versace was supposed to have the special relationship with her. I don't think I've liked anything Akris have ever produced.

Did CAmeron Diaz wore the same dress Charlene wore to the pre-wedding dinner in London?

No, they're not the same; only similar in the hip-hugging, flaring skirts.

On reflection, I think the muted nature of Charlene's presentation was appropriate. It was a good call on her part - and I base that on what I am reading here on this thread. IMO it was fine for the Grimaldis to be there - even in their own right, never mind Grace - but Charlene is not a starlet and she correctly did not put herself into competition with the rest of the sttendees who are doing something very pertinent for their careers.

I loved Charlene's gown. Cutting edge in evening wear. I also like that she didn't try to wear a necklace with it. The earrings? Were they not worn at the Circus year before last? I love them. I see nothing wrong with her hair, although her hair will never be her best feature.
Overall, I give her a 90.
I see no "apparent" sadness...she has a naturally wistful countenance.

I quite liked it. But it was underwhelming. She can do better, in my opinion.

Royalty cannot compete with Hollywood. That was why PG was so good. She was both.

I thought she looked lovely and in keeping with her position. Honestly, I am SO tired of seeing Angelina Jolie's leg .... year after year, it seems.
Actually, I'm pretty tired of seeing Angelina Jolie, definitely overrated IMO.

I´m not sure about the dress. I don´t like the top part in the front view, but the back is stunning.
Bad hairstyle, though, it doesn´t flatter her face.

The stars prepare for months for these events and the women spend all day getting made up by stylists, jewelers, beauticians, cosmeticians. The Oscars are very important for their career. PC doesn't have that pressure. She just has to look respectable.

Dress is a simple design but looks good. I like the ribbed material on the upper part.
