This ball gown is very original ,but I do not like it very much.....
 
I agree Zubiaur I only like her earrings.
 
It's difficult to think of another Royal who has experimented with so many styles. I have always admired this & look forward to her ensemble at key events. There's no doubt Caroline can look stunning in both casual and formal attires. Some outfits don't seem to work , & because she has raised the bar high by any Royal's standards she gets a lot of criticism (the last Rose Ball springs to mind)- but she can still demonstrate superb taste & elegance -just like her Mum. I think Charlotte is developing this too. Can't wait to see this year's Rose Ball gown.
 
I dislike her hair and her gown very much

Princess Caroline was pregnant at that time in 1999. She was trying to hide it with the flowers. She looked pale. I remember seeing the pictures in magazines. Thanks for posting these pics, Queenofthelight:flowers:
 
goodness was that helmet meant to be her purse i thought she has been given a flowers by someone in a strange basket sort of thing

:eek: Now that is ugly. Geeeeze why spend money on junk like that. I could have sent her tons of beer bottle caps from the hubby.;) I would have even strung them together for free.
 
Am I missing something here has the the world gone completely mad this is a horrible outfit in that nothing seems to go together... hair nice but isn't for the the gown and jacket which are lovely but.... I just am not sure and those bracelets???????? did her youngest make them is it a joke someone anyone.........

I certainly hope that someone gave her the purse and the bracelets and that she didn't actually pay for that. :nonono:

The rest of the outfit, however is very nice.
 
Yes, her dress is Chanel. The runway version is in white. Charlotte's gown is black. Also, the runway model wore a short jacket. Charlotte did not wear the jacket.

Chanel Spring 2009 Haute Couture

Caroline's dress had a see-through skirt. I noticed that she had worn a gown with this same style of skirt before - to the 1995 Rose Ball.

The funny thing is that i read in Hola fashion magazine that the dress P. Caroline wore at the Rose Ball, were, indeed, trousers...a kind of dress wiht legs. Could that be so? If yes, we must admit that although not much glamorous, her outfit was daring...It seems to me that in these two past years Caroline prefered funny and original dresses over the more glamorous and elegant she had us accostumed to!!! :princess3:

No, it is not a trouser dress. Only on the runway did Princess Caroline's dress looked like it was a trouser dress. It was just how the skirt fabric draped on the model's legs.

:lol: OMG, guess everyone has a price! I wouldn't be caught dead in them. They are hideous, especially the bracelets. It's like if she accidentally puts her hands together, the bracelets might get tangled like handcuffs.

I don't like both of her outifts at all. The pattern of her dress in the first pictures is hideous and in the second pictures, her blouse is tight and small.:eek: It seems that Princess Caroline doesn't care about fashion when she got older and she used to be very elegant and beautiful when she was in her teens, 20s and 30s.

The dress is not too bad. Nice for the event. Don't like the arrival outfit, the trousers are too young for her and the blouse is too old. :flowers:
