I agree - the purple jacket fits her perfectly and the color itself adds her personal charm. As for the dress it's just lovely, let alone the shoes which I'm very keen on. In both cases her hairstyle is impeccable.:flowers:

I've never seen that dress either. It is rather too old fashioned and matronly for her, but her waist is tiny. From how she looks, I would judge the picture was taken in 1986, maybe 1987.

The dress was designed by Catherine Walker - Diana put it on during her stay in Saudi Arabia in 1986.

Lilac suits her and so does the lighter costume. I wonder if it wouldn't have been better if she had combined the shoes from the lighter outfit with these from the lilac one. But the shoes from the lilac one are of best brand too.
Thanks for the pictures, ZUBIAUR. :flowers:

Thanks for the info! Seeing your photo I now know the dress. I had seen a picture of it with her having a hat on, but not one with her hat off. I guess I should spend some looking at getty images.:)

You're welcome Grace Angel - I just came across the photo and I liked it so I realised I had to post it here. By the way, I wouldn't suppose she had a hat as looking at her while sitting next to the Arabian monarch I didn't see it at all.

Thank you for the 2nd picture,Monic.Sheer class!

I do like Diana in checked costumes as well. I've never seen the second one but I must say it's really stylish. As to the last costume and hat they're gorgeous. These hues of the blue color are lovely matched and the bow on the hat completes the whole. Thank you, ZUBIAUR!

She looks so adorable in all the pics maryamj. Who is the man with her in the second pic?

Princess Diana is so gorgeous in each outfits!!!:previous:

The pink shoes look great, the last photo is the most beautiful, Princess Diana loved red and it fited her perfectly!:flowers:

I've noticed, ZUBIAUR, you're a great fan of the shoes from the first and last picture and I'm not surprised - she put them on so many times and each time looked really stylish.
