The sleeveless dress was pretty but Stephanie looked very underdressed beside the Grand duchess. She should have had a jacket over her dress or a dress with sleeves. Now she looked like she was going to a totally different event than the Grand Duchess.

The outfit at Te Deum was nice but the wind almost took it. And it was a little short for a Te Deum.

The evening dress looked very good on the Grand Duchess, but not on Stephanie. For her it is very badly fitted.

Re orange. I had the opposite reaction. I found MT over dressed.

It's a warm summer afternoon, a parade and concert. She was dressed for a day event. She changed dresses for the more formal church service.

Mt looks a bit over done in the lace and coat IMO for a day event. But unlike her daughter in law she chose not to change. And in choosing to dress for the fancier of the two events, it showed. The other ladies around were in business casual at best, the lace was a bit more appropriate for late afternoon. Good for church but the parade a bit over played.

That said, if going to wear one outfit for both, good choice to dress with church event in mind.

Stephanie has definitely "uped" her game during the past few weeks. I hope she has engaged a Stylist so her look becomes consistent. JMHO -- one minor issue -- she always looks tentative and uncomfortable. Perhaps she's just shy and not a big personality type???
I don't think she's always tentative or uncomfortable. Are there awkward / odd photos? Yes but there are plenty of photos where she's engaged and at ease.
I was worried with national day, her roll of great looks may crash she burn. Seems I had nothing to fear.
[...]
She got her "crash" out of the way before National Day. She wore a weird top with wide pants for a dinner the MUDAM hosted for the Prime Minister of Estonia on the 20th, see https://twitter.com/EstonianGovt/status/877244059554729984

I have to say, Stephanie has looked wonderful these last few weeks. The last couple of days especially. The red, orange and pink dresses are wonderful on her. Also, her hair makeup and jewelry have been "spot on".

Totally agree, she is looking great in the last weeks. I assume she finally got help from a stylist and additionally she lost some weight!

But she ios looking excellent in every single occaison. VEEEERY well done!

I can not find these twitter pics. It leads to a twitter site but after nothing

Great color for her....the shape is a little loose but she looks very nice.

:previous: I agree. It needs to be a little more fitted but the color is simply spectacular. :)...and the back is really surprisingly low cut!

She's doing so much better the past month or so!

The dress is gorgeous and the color is great on her. I love her shoes, hair, and make-up, but I think the style of the dress is very unflattering. She looks shapeless; I think she may have over-Spanxed. I love the back, but I think I see the top of her foundation garment in the 3rd picture.

GD MT looks nice, but it looks like they are dressed for different events. I love both outfits and would wear either one.

It looks less baggy in back. So maybe a bad cut in front, or maybe the fabric is a bit stiff. Just guessing. I like it.

Oh, she looks amazing, that is one very beautiful lady and I love her dress. The color is so pretty on her, the length is perfect and it is not to tight or not lose a dress for she can move in it, and I even like her shoes, not crazy about open toe shoes yet these are subtle and perfect. Her hair and make-up is nice and that smile says that she is finally coming into her own space.

Too bad about the bra showing in the back! The dress needed to be taken in a little to show a waist. Great color.

Wow her roll of looks keeps going :)

Gorgeous color and pattern. I love the lower back, gives a bit of interest. But needs a bra designed for backless, as bra shows when bent over.

Hair and styling are on point as always :flowers:

The embellished teal is lovely. Too bad the low back reveals a bit of bra. I think the dress does fit; the waist is defined; and I can't see how it could be any slimmer. Maybe the material is thicker/stiff or she skipped the spanx.

The hair clip is fancier and nicely matches her dress. However, her hair isn't as neat as it could be. Some photos are fine while others show a hasty pull pack where the strands are slightly askew. Not a fan of the platform heels.

The fit of the teal dress isn't great but the color is lovely.

You should take another look at the back of her wedding dress!

The teal dress is gorgeous but the material is very heavily weighed down by the crystals or embellishments which is a shame as it looks saggy but she looks fantastic in that colour. I loved her hair and makeup and her hairclip was lovely.

:previous: Yes, true. Thanks for jogging my memory ladies!;)

Gosh, that wedding gown, veil and train still blows me away every time I've seen
them since. Stephanie was really a most spectacular Royal bride for sure, one of my all time Top Three!:)

That dress is one of my all time favorite dresses....

Her wedding dress is one of the best ever. As repetitive as Elie Saab dresses can get, he knows how to hit a wedding gown completely out of the park.

Stephanie is wearing one of the most adorable print summer sheaths in this series of photos taken from the 2nd Garden Party at Schloss Berg yesterday.

(you can see it starting on picture #10 where the elderly gentleman is bowing and kissing her hand)

It fits her to perfection.:)

:previous: Stephanie's dress is great! It's beautiful and summery, and the print reminds me of vintage wallpaper, but in a good way :) I also agree that the dress really flatters her figure.

:previous: Thanks eya.:)

That dress is something I would wear. And her hair is lovely from the back.

Pretty dress for the 2nd garden party. I wish the floral prints were a bit scattered instead of the grid-like placement.

Indeed. Though easy to miss seeing as most photos focussed on her front, and the stunning veil obscured a good view of the dress from back.

I actually really liked the low back on hers. I'd love a keyhole back if they insist on lace dresses.

A wonderful series of pictures. :flowers: I especially love the one where they are both sitting at the altar with their backs to the camera. Stephanie's gown, train and veil make for a frothy tide of white lace and silk around her. Gorgeous. :twohearts:

It's also poignant considering what must have been all the happiness between her and her mother picking out the gown, trying it on, and all of the planning. So sad, and there she is being escorted by her handsome and proud brother. It's very touching for many reasons.

:previous: Sensitive and thoughtful post as usual Lady Nimue.

Elie Saab said in a fashion interview that he met Stephanie through Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa, and that Stephanie visited his atelier and discussed the type of wedding gown she envisioned for herself. Then, based on their conversations he made a series of sketches and Stephanie selected the one she liked best.

I have often wondered if Countess Alix de Lannoy ever even saw the finished product of her youngest child's spectacular bridal gown. She collapsed and spent a week in a coma before dying, about eight weeks before the ceremony.

The dress is a cute style...but I'm not crazy about the print.
