Gowns fit for a Royal: July 2005 - July 2006
Having a passion for fashion i'm always looking at the latest collection of Couture gowns/dresses and i thought it would be great to start a thread where we can posts pictures of gowns that would look great on a princess. :)
I think gowns look best on Crown Princess Mary and Queen Rania, they're not too tall or too short or too chubby, they do have their fashion faux pas but to me they've nearly always managed to look great in the gowns they wear. :)

For bold, daring princesses ^___^
Frank Sorbier - the only dress from the Haute Couture Fall 2005 collection that didn't look to eccentric or weird for a princess lol
Jean Paul Gaultier - Haute Couture Fall 2005

Great topic! The links work just fine...I like the 5th dress that you said was your favorite along with 11, I just thought it was unique. Numbers 12 and 13 were beautifull colors. We all know Maria Teresa is a big fan of Saab, does Queen Rania wear this designers dresses as well? I think they would look like on her. Also, can anyone tell me what royals like to wear Gaultier? ... I really don't care for the Fall 2005 collection but thats just my taste:)

I prefer simplistic and minimalistic A-line shaped gowns. Therefore, I am posting the ones I like as well as what I think might look good on the princesses.
1. Vera Wang (work well for Mary)
2. Oscar de la Renta (for Mette Marit)
3. Ellie Saab (Rania can really carry off this gown)
4. Emanuel Ungaro (look wonderful on Letizia)

great choices, the Elie Saab dress is so beautiful and it would definitely look great on Rania :) i can't really see Letizia in that gown though...these aren't gowns but i imagine Letizia would look fabulous in them:

Great pictures of Cate Blanchett! I think the third picture of Cate in the coral and black gown is spectacular! I could definitely see Mary or Maxima in something like that. (Maybe more Maxima since it's such a vibrant colour and the design has such potential to be dramatic with a touch of the theatrical.)

You use Imageshack and upload your image and then the one you would use is "Thumbnails for Forums 1". And then the photo appears for you in the post.

Thank you. I´m glad that you like them. Yes, that was my favorite too. Spot on about Maxima. She certainly is the Queen of color.
