Princess Estelle looking lovely on her birthday photos released today, February 23, wearing a simple but elegant white dress - a very nice choice!

Estelle's dress is beautiful and elegant.

I love Estelle's dress. It's very pretty. I think the best part is that it has no extra frills of any kind, it speaks for itself.

I wonder if this was Victoria's, it has a vintage look to it imo

I believe both of her dresses (stamp and birthday) were Marie-Chantal dresses. They were both lovely, as is Estelle.

Estelle looks like such a happy child, it wouldn't matter what she was dressed in, she will always look beautiful but I do love the simplicity of her outfit

At one event there were pictures of Prince Christian of Denmark at about age 3 wearing pants that weren't shorts but weren't long pants either. They came to below his knee but above his calf. It seemed like it didn't really fit him. He also had on shoes with no socks. Is it sort of a national item of clothing similar to what the Swedish princesses wear, or the traditional outfits worn by the Norwegian family? I believe the video is on You Tube and it is when they attended Prince Henrik's christening.

This? No, it looks like a normal suit that the pants were too short and were being worn like clam diggers.

Here is the Danish national costume

I can only recall seeing the Danish royals in their Greenlandic costumes

I also loved the dress especially because it was so simple, and preferred her look at the official birthday photos over that at the stamp.

Estelle's dress at the official photos is from Marie Chantal's Spring Summer 2014 collection

I think Estelle wore the dress already in March 2015 at the christening of Désirée Magnuson:

Some of the Danish royals have also used the national costume from the Faeroe Islands, the kids not yet though :flowers:

Estelle looked so lovely in her dress for her birthday photos and I adore those Mary Janes with it. I actually prefer this look to her outfit on the stamps, but she still looked nice and sweet then.

Thank you for the information, I too had wondered whether or not Estelle's dress was old.

Estelle on March 3:

She looks adorable. Especially with that purse.

Estelle looks very cute, as usual. I love the addition of the purse. Such a little lady :D.

Absolutely love the purse. Think she stole the fashion award for the day :flowers:

I have to admit I smiled at her pretty pink coat "with room to grow". The shoulders are too big and there is a generous turn-back on the sleeves. It is nice to know that Estelle can still be pretty as a picture while wearing royal hand-me-downs. It's even nicer to know that those clothes are well made and made to last and the royal parents are happy to use them.

That's proves the swedish royal keep anything they are given :D

Estelle looked charming at Oscar's Te Deum. Her little bag is so sweet! I also like how it was a gift from Victoria's trip to Tanzania.

I love the purse:flowers: Especially as it was a gift from her Mum when she was away. Makes me think of when my dad would travel for business and bring us back gifts:)

Estelle and Oscar:

Beautiful outfits. I love the colors. The skirt/dress looks beautiful.

I'm not a fan of Estelle's dress, to be honest. I like very much the azure hue of Oscar's cardigans, instead.

Something tells me this dress on estelle in the new picture with Oscar could be something that was worn by victoria or madeleine's as a child - it was a vintage feel to it .... either that or it could because the picture is not the the highest quality.

Svensk Damtidning identifies the dress Estelle wears in the new picture as this dress that Victoria wore for the Te Deum in honour of Madeleine's birth in 1982. A bit difficult to tell because the picture of Victoria is in black and white but if you examine it closely, you can see that the pattern in the middle is the same as on the one Estelle wears.

Thank you for that information - i knew there had to be some old connection but identify when and which princess was harder. I do love the family connections with old clothes for special occasions it is a nice touch and a reminder of the continuity of the family line
