While it has become as much the norm for pageboys and bridesmaids to be dressed down in linen shirts and Converse trainers in recent years, Pippa Middleton opted for very traditional outfits for the gorgeous gaggle of children who acted as her attendants for her wedding to James Matthews today.

The wedding party, which included Countess Philippa Hoyos, Lily French, Avia Horner and Princess Charlotte as bridesmaids and Casimir Tatos, Edward Sebire, William Ward and Prince George as pageboys all wore bespoke outfits by Pepa & Co.

Charlotte and Georges outfits were adorable and lovely.

I am sorry but what a load of

Yes these kids sell clothes, but Georges page boy look. I am not going to hold my breath on seeing little boys running around dressed like that.

Nor will I give them credit for well dressed flower girls and ring bearers. Majority of weddings, unless some back yard or beach wedding, do not have bridal party in running shoes and chinos as suggested.

Don't know about the rest of the world, but here most weddings don't even have bridsmaids and pageboys. Yesterday my aunt was just commenting that that last time she had seen a bridesmaid it was her at her sister's wedding in the late '50s.

Anyway, I have quite a soft spot for Charlotte. I love that smart and lively look in her eyes. Lovely dress too.

Lots of weddings in the U. S. have a flower girl or two and a ring bearer. And most have at least two adult attendants (maid or matron of honor and best man) with some having large numbers of adult bridesmaids and groomsmen, but often at least a few. Or even a man of honor or best woman if a best friend or sibling is of the opposite sex.

Charlotte looks so adorable with her flower crown ❤

Some of ya'll need to google about weddings in the south and even some of the NE...not uncommon to have 4/6 or more attendants in the bridal party. Flower girls, ring bearers and bridesmaids (along with the groomsmen to match them).

Last wedding I was in, maid of honor (me), best man, two bridesmaids., two groomsman (do equal numbers so you have someone to escort you up aisle, best man saved me from face plant as I am not used to heels and had three inch) three flower girls though only two ended up walking, a ring bearer and a coin boy. The coin boy is a Philippine tradition, groom was.

Children in the wedding party seem to be less common now in many places. Unless the couple has kids or nieces perhaps. Likely because hard to control.

Cute in pink :flowers:

Though it would be cute if like her brother she got to wear her Swedush jersey. I hate when boys get to go casual and girls always in dresses. We know she is a little hockey fan.

From the big grin, she was quite excited to meet the team :D

Princess Estelle is just adorable. I used to dress my now 11 year old twin daughters in smocked dresses all the time, just as my mother dressed my sister and me in them. Such a timeless look for little girls.

Maybe Estelle wanted to wear a dress. She seems to be a very decisive little girl and I think if she had wanted to wear a team jersey she would have insisted on wearing one. She looks very pretty, as usual. Also, I love Victoria's dress. It's lovely.

Princess Estelle is beyond adorable..I call her the Fairy Princess because she looks straight out of a storybook.:p

Are your daughters in dresses When their brothers are in play clothes? Maybe you do. But most parents if some kids are in play clothes, all kids are. I feel sorry if your kid had to play in the park or anything else in a dress, to look classic. Her brother is in jeans and a jersey.

Estelle is a total little hockey fan. You can see it when they attend games. Into the game as much as daddy is. I have little doubt, if she was allowed to wear her jersey to show off to the big hockey players who you can tell she was excited to meet, she would.

I love some royal families allow girls to dress like modern girls, and not only pretty little dresses, when the occasion calls for it.

My girls were only dressed in dresses when it was appropriate to the occasion. But when appropriate, it is a classic look that I love.

To play devil's advocate, perhaps Estelle wanted to wear her pretty pink dress to meet her favorite team. After all, she went to the Kiss concert dressed casually and with her face painted to boot, so she is not in dressed up all the time. But I guess that could have been due to the concert being a private family outing and meeting the hockey team was an official event. I hope it was her choice to wear her dress. She is only 5, so there is plenty of time to prepare her for her future roles as crown princess & then queen. Victoria & Daniel seem like they would let her be a kid and not get hung up on crafting a perfect princess persona for her.

Sasha and India looked super cute and summery! Very cool sunglasses

Lalla Khadija's dress is also beautiful. The colour is so gorgeous.

Is she wearing heels? Someone is not so young anymore...
But she's really really beautiful and so right for a young lady on such an occasion. Appropriate but with a touch of fun.

She is almost sixteen, likely one of the few girls her age who doesn't. :flowers:

If they are heels they look to be little kitten heels at best.

The dress is great. Age appropriate and fun for a teenager

Wonderful dress! :flowers: Looking at that picture I imagine how much fun mother and daughter had picking out the 'just right' dress. She looks wonderful!

I started wearing heels around that age (twelve years ago) and I remember starting with smaller heels to just get used to walk with them. Plus higher heels do not really suits young girls (I know they use them, but it doesn't mean they're appropriate).
And she has such a graceful body and innate elegance
